Carroll Kiphen / Lyrics
Don’t leave me alone in my head
Verse
Like a child inside a closet
Locked up for days at a time.
I often feel claustrophobic
When I’m alone with my mind.
Pre chorus
I hear the echoes of my conscience.
It’s a voice tormenting my soul.
The critical words of my father
Raking me over the coals.
Chorus
Don’t leave me alone.
Don’t leave me alone.
Alone inside my head.
Verse
I’m terrified of the darkness.
Afraid of what I might do.
I sometimes feel suicidal.
When I’m alone in my womb.
Pre chorus
I hear the crying from my mother.
As I sit helplessly nearby.
the malignant growth of my hatred
refuses to let me cry.
Chorus
Don’t leave me alone.
Don’t leave me alone.
Alone inside my head.
Verse
Like a child inside a closet
Locked up for days at a time.
I often feel claustrophobic.
Bridge
There’s a monster inside, a monster inside
Whispering words like suicide.

Hi Carroll,
I'm unable to get this track to play for some reason. I've tried on 2 different machines and different browsers with no luck. I'll have another look later on tonight or tomorrow.

This works very well. Good match of music to lyric.
I like the extra "Don’t leave me alone" in the chorus in the recording, I think it needed that.
"It’s a voice tormenting my soul." that felt a touch crowded. I think "A voice tormenting my soul" might be smoother.
Nice build up of the instrumentation.
I like where the bridge is coming in now, and the repeat on the chorus rather than on v1.
It's a dark theme, but a very enjoyable song.

Yeah, this is a great track. I like the way it gradually builds. The lyrics come over as being personal but they fit really well. I think I'd like to hear the vocals a little higher in the mix. Otherwise the vocal arrangement is great. Nice to hear your words put to music.
