Eiffel shower lyrics

Paris- A lovely city to walk around.

Eiffel shower

verse 1

My dad paid for a trip to Paris, when he heard I gotten Yale

He could revisit his alma mater, and I got the Holy Grail

For as long as I could remember, all I wanted was to paint

To walk in the shadow of Monet, an artist without constraint

chorus

I've found a life of freedom

Far from the seat of power

To dance in the Paris rain

Under an Eiffel shower

verse 2

I saw you on the Left Bank, sitting by the riverside

Like children by your feet, your paintings stood with pride

Something about your eyes, they fixed me where I stood

I sat without being asked, as though you knew I would

chorus

I've found a life of freedom

Far from the seat of power

To dance in the Paris rain

Under an Eiffel shower

bridge

We lived the Bohemian lifestyle, we all had paint on our shoes

From studio to attic we moved, whenever the rent was due

Together we were the dream, like Renoir, boating on the stream

I burnt my father's letter, I couldn't unsee what I had seen

chorus

I've found a life of freedom

Far from the seat of power

To dance in the Paris rain

Under an Eiffel shower

To dance in the Paris rain

Under an Eiffel shower

I like this a lot! What imagery. Love the chorus...

  • I'm a real fan of your lyrics. They're full of imagination and always tell a story. This is no exception. Perhaps one of the others here will put this one to music. I don't play an accordion else I might be tempted to give it a try! Great stuff.😀
