I grew up in southern cal in the 70's. every night there was reports of gang violence between the bloods and the crips. A white person in south central was a guaranteed death sentence.

I was doing this job in Oakland , Two guys were playing basketball , two gang guys . About a half hour later I was outside getting something out my truck , One guy was chasing the other , He shot him about 5 times right in front of me . The detective told me the reason he shot him is because he lost the basketball game . Dead over a basketball game. I was always a bit nervous doing jobs in Oakland . The general who built these nice condos was right in the bad area . I could never figure out why they did that . All white people at least what I saw lived in them . Yuppies . The favorite breed in Oakland is pit bulls on a chain . I always enjoy talking to black people , they got a cool way of talking.

Yup . now it's tent city . That homeless problem is bad there , Lake Merrit is pretty . about it . Gods got a plan your you , living in a tent eating cold can food and pooping in a coffee can at night
