It’s always been intriguing to me the random haphazard way some human relationships start. And then the way some of them unfold. Enemies become friends...friends become enemies...I guess it’s just the nature of the beast...sometimes quirky

It's a fun song, although in some ways it's sad because it describes an inexplicable reality, haha, but that's how it is.
The guitar sounds good, and I like the reverb in the vocals. The "...no no no yet" is very catchy.

Love that opening:

Got exactly that quirky feeling that you were talking about. Same with the final line of that verse:
But we haven’t met yet... no no not yet
It gets you thinking about how these things unfold, which is exactly what you are after!
Makes a great tag line for each verse, and could even be an alternate title.
Somebody’s got a finger on a trigger
Ooh I did not see that coming! Much darker verse. Gives it a nice edge, and makes you re-evaluate the song overall.
It may not be practical for you, but I think this one would really benefit from a strong funky bassline.

I left you a comment on Soundcloud. Loved the song. The guitar work is incredible to my (admittedly amateur) ear. I know what I like, and I loved the instrumental. The quirky vocal was accentuated with a slightly quirky fit with the instrumental which I felt really grabbed and held interest.
