This Time Next Year
https://hearthis.at/elvis-nash-xk/this-time-next-year-demo/
V1
The last 12 months it seems we’ve been barely getting by
Between the holes in the roof and the tires, money says goodbye
And to top it all off, my full-time 40 went and left
But, girl, stick around, we’ll get through this mess
Chorus
This time next year
We’re going to have it all going on
We’ll be right back on top going strong
It might look like the end of the world right now
There’s been so many fires we’ve had to put out
But the sun’s gonna shine and smoke will have cleared
This time next year
V2
You ain’t no quitter and I sure ain’t quittin’ on you
Life’s up-and-down, ’n right now, we’re just paying dues
I bet by summer, we’ll take a long look - back and just laugh
Saying “here’s to us and love” and raising up a glass
CHORUS
INSTRUMENTAL
CHORUS

@ElvisNash - Wow the first two lines sums up my life as it is now perfectly.. life seems darkest in the middle of the storm, once you get past it.. life gets better? 🤔😄

This was written when Covid hit
Thanks Bill

I like "money says goodbye", I can imagine everyone nodding at that.
"This time next year" doesn't quite hit hard enough as a hook to me. It all sounds very smooth and polished, but it doesn't quite draw me in the way some of your others do.
But it's a good message and a solid track. Hope you do well with it!

@ElvisNash Nice thought, positive outlook. But many still struggle since Covid; physically, financially and mentally. But only positive thought and truth will bring about the change needed. Many have recovered, but not fully still. Yeah, totally commercial. Good luck with this song, Elvis!

The song has nothing to do with Covid
I just wrote when Covid hit

Look at us now, we have survived! Let's raise up the glass.
Great positive, empowering, inspiring, and uplifting song. Especially, how uncertain things looked at the time.
Lyrics and music fit well. I enjoyed it and felt this is radio material.
Good job, @ElvisNash it's a touchdown!

its the old fashioned way of doing songs using live players . No AI was involved
thanks

@ElvisNash - I'm glad you are not using my robots (Roberta and Robert) I need them and work them to death when I compose my songs. LOL. They need a break. :-)

The robots are pure genius . You can't tell the difference from live players and robots
I'm afraid AI beats home studio recordings , mostly because the user is older and not current with hit melodies as AI is trained on hit songs in 2025

That's an insightful comment Elvis! I believe you are correct. Also, the robots sing in tune!!
2 -
You are correct. It's difficult to tell unless it's mentioned. I love my robots!

Robots put out 12 million songs a month . They beat most singer songwriters for a penny a track

Nice song, Elvis... is the lyric yours?
I didn't see any credits.
Are you going to pitch this one? Sounds like a winner 😎

Well of course the lyrics are mine . No I'm retiring from the music as of a month ago , it dosent make sense anymore at my age
AI kinda sealed the deal to get out , I saw the writing on the wall
