Sad Land . Rachel Philips / Not AI
https://hearthis.at/elvis-nash-xk/sad-land-full-demo-2/
V1:
Life is not smooth sailing, and I washed up on this shore
Another piece of wreckage from storm after storm
And I got used to lonely, like that’s all there’s gonna be
Like there’s nothing better waiting, out there across the sea
But no girl is an island
And it’s time that I stop cryin’
C:
I can’t stay in Sad Land
I know there’s more to life
Not every road’s a dead end
Not every step’s a climb
There’s hope on the horizon
It’s time to go and find it
If I ever wanna get to a better place
I can’t stay
In Sad Land
V2:
I’ve had some ships come in, but I’ve watched ‘em sail away
So certain if I stepped on board, they just would’ve sank
Who knows, we might’ve made it, but can’t worry ‘bout that now
‘Cuz regret’s a deep dark valley, that’s real hard to get out
So now I’m building my own boat
It’s finally time to go
CHORUS
SOLO
BRIDGE:
no girl is an island
And it’s time that I stop crying

This is a good song, lyrics, vocals, and I enjoyed it. The sad part is that I couldn't tell if it was AI or human. Maybe it's good for us who use AI. Nonetheless, compliments to all involved.
Well done!

@ElvisNash - Certainly has a positive message.. refreshing in the sea of depressing songs, including mine :)

Ai is the new kid on the block , Before the robots , it was done this way . depressing songs are kinda a no no in hit writers circles
Thanks Tammy and Bill

What I like about this last couple from you is how different they are from the songs you sing yourself.
You're writing them to suit a specific style and that takes skill. Kudos for that.

Well it is a songwriting site , demos are quiet common before AI entered the picture0

Awesome demo, Elvis! I love the vocals. The acoustic guitar outro is a nice finishing touch.

@ElvisNash you just nailed the story of my life! And you're right, 'no girl is an island' tho' sometimes I'd like to believe I am. To sing as such, now wouldn't that be grand? Pretty song, Elvis. Very relatable for both young and older ladies.
And alas! There's hope! 😘
