I Love Me Some Me (IS ON THE LOCAL RADIO)

The first song (I Love Me Some Me) I posted on this forum, but I can't find it. Here's a re-post

I want to announce that my daughter who is my DOM (Director of Marketing) submitted the song to local radio stations, and this song was chosen to be in the rotation.

Guess what? They sent her the email on the morning (3:57a.m.) of Mother's Day. She printed out the email that the Station's Manager sent her on how well written, produced, and great message in the song; and when I read it, I cried tears of joy. What a great Mother's Day gift! (I'm framing the email). lol.

I write this to say to all the lyricists/songwriters who use the "artificial" "generated" AI (SUNO) (My BFF), please don't let anyone tell you what your song(s) can't and won't do. Keep writing those hits.

Lyrics: TammyB

composed: My BFF (Suno)

[speak intro]

This is for all those people who have lost confidence

The cruelness of others

made you hate who you are

You’re special, one of a kind

You are You

Embrace you

This #1 hit is for you

[verse 1]

Have I ever told you

How much I love you

From your toes to your nose

Those brown eyes

Full lips, round hips

I’m littt, I’m the shhhhh

That’s right say it twice

I’m littt, I’m the shhhhh

It’s hard to resist

The glow, the flow that I persist

I want you to know that

[Chorus]

I love me some me

My walk, my talk, my hair

I’m as natural as could be

It’s what God intended

Make no mistake about it

You can’t break my spirit like before no more

It’s a set, forget mindset, and I have no regrets

Because I love me some me

I’m not unpretty

Humph, I detect some jealousy

No one can tell me differently

[verse 2]

I’m unique

Original

No make believe

I can be who I be

Who I am

Forget Fakebook, Instagram

Trying to bring my self-esteem down

A five second snap story

Is the real scam

It won’t take me down

So stop faking for these clowns

Because

[Chorus]

I love me some me

My walk, my talk, my hair

I’m as natural as could be

It’s what God intended

Make no mistake about it

You can’t break my spirit like before no more

It’s a set, forget mindset, and I have no regrets

Because I love me some me

I’m not unpretty

Humph, I detect some jealousy

No one can tell me differently

[verse 3]

I wished my young self

Would have known better

To love thyself

I want to apologize a million times

For myself from oneself to another

These sentiments I speak is for me

[Chorus]

I love me some me

My walk, my talk, my hair

I’m as natural as could be

It’s what God intended

Make no mistake about it

You can’t break my spirit like before no more

It’s a set, forget mindset, and I have no regrets

Because I love me some me

I’m not unpretty

Humph, I detect some jealousy

No one can tell me differently

  • @TammyB - how so very cool is that.😎 Your songs are from the heart. they are raw, and that resonates with people.

  • I'm not surprised , I'm not sure how reporting would work since its AI generating the song

    Good for you Tammy

@TammyB, Your song is good Tammy, I'm sure radio stations know a thing or two about music and if they think it's good enough to play, well that's all that matters. Well done, hope you go on to have more success with your work, it deserves it!

    Congratulations,

    Sid

@bhengen @ElvisNash @sidshovel - Thank you all! I'm just happy someone is taking the time to listen.

To hear my song on the radio was a goal.

  • Great song Tammy! Not surprised the radio station took it up! And how lovely that your daughter recognized how important it was to you and made you that lovely surprise gift. I would feel delighted if that were me.

Great rhyming in this one. That and the overall message are the standouts for me, and Suno made the most of it for you.

You may need to look into the legal side of things if you're going to start getting airplay! Rights and royalties and all that. Not sure how that operates when using Suno etc.

@RainyDayMan - Thank you and yes, I will be checking into the legal side of the airplay. My understanding is if you have a paid SUNO account then it's your song. Of course, I write my own lyrics, so I don't have to worry about that.

  • You don't have to worry about the lyrics, but the music side may still need investigating. But you may know more about it than I do!

Elvis expressed it succinctly a while back.

Unless there's a ton of money on the table, no one is going to bother!

My advice is don't bust a gut on it, labels have much bigger fish to fry.

  • Zach Brown just sold his catalog for 350m

I doubt anyone cares about this song on local radio

@RainyDayMan - Thanks for the information.

@sidshovel - Thank you and I agree. I'm a small fish trying to enjoy a tad bit of enjoyment.

    @ElvisNash - Thank you.

It may be small and irrelevant to the suits, but it's everything to you and yours, and that's the only thing that matters.

  • Congratulations Tammy!! Well done! Love your lyric! And nice song to dance to. And may your song fly straight up to #1 on the charts!! Are you going to do a full-production video as well?

    Nice to meet you,

Hi Renee, Thank you and I appreciate the compliment. Many blessings to you and your music career as well.

I'm still trying to get my feet wet, so no production video as of yet.

It was a pleasure meeting you as well.

  • @TammyB well, radio-play is certainly a nice way to 'get your feet wet'. Many more successes in your songwriting journey!

I am thrilled and excited to hear you are on the radio. Also, a little jealous. . . jealous in a supportive and decent way. Wish I could duplicate your success. Glad you had it. . . and hoping someday I can also. ;o)

Ahhh..Thank you @Hardtwistmusic. I can't take full credit because I have a daughter who's graduating with a marketing degree, and she is the hard work behind getting the song on the local radio.

I believe there is room for all of us. Much success with reaching your music career goal(s).
