It sounds like the first verse is off on the cadence a bit.

[Verse 1]

Frantically climbing sepiatic tattered staircase to the sky

Desperately trying to catch an ancient owl, whose soaring by

He grabs me, and I implore him to make sense of these memories

I know there's order to this disorder, I'm just failing to see

[Verse 2]

For miles and miles, we glide o'er very dark, turbulent seas

Finally we land, softly on a ship, made from a majestic oak tree

In the gally baking, rosemary scones, he's riddling me as to why

I dwell in the past, and why, I can only see greys in blue skies

[Bridge]

Suspended time spent, in solitude while, slowly sipping our sage tea

In that moment, the seas calm under the spell of peppermint incense

He then gives me, a root of ginseng, this will give you some clarity

Then suddenly soars, to the sky, and once was chaotic now makes sense

[Verse 3]

Floating in serenity, adrift in clouds, a cool wind swiftly blows

And carries me, to the trailwinds, of remembrances fondly flows

My soul flies free, weightless, freedom in spiritual elevation

On newborn wings, spread wide, drunk with bibacious liberations

[Verse 4]

On solid ground, my mind cultivates, seeds of new explorations

My soul embarks, on new journeys, of transformational migrations

The earth and I, are now at one, my feet rooted in the soil deep

Saplings of new memories grow where willows once silently wept

  • Pretty deep Suno song
Good luck on promotion in YouTube
  • @ElvisNash - the cadence of the first verse seems to be off.. timing wise, do you hear what I hear?

  • Yeah it’s a bit off candence wise
  • @ElvisNash - this is the 3rd time I actually had to re-work a lot of the lyrics.. :)

  • I cleaned them up a bit better..

For miles and miles, we glide over, very dark turbulent seas

Finally we land, softly on a ship, made from a noble oak tree

  • I don't think the cadence being off is noticeable to the untrained ears. In fact, I didn't notice until you mentioned it. I like the first version so much better! It was bad a$$!

The clean-up version was nice and soft, but it didn't touch me like the first version.

I'm looking forward to hearing more from you. I don't know how you make Suno do what it does.

in prompts , I imagine you could give robots directions to come in on the down beat . its in time now . When your dealing with abstract lyrics , your lucky they do that kinda job . To change things up a lot of hits come in on the 2 not the one . The robot comes on the 1 on every line , that I can hear

@bhengen I often struggle with the lyrics and meaning of your songs Bill. I find it easier to follow while listening to the music for some reason.

That said, your choice of music is usually spot on to help with the complexity of the words, at least for me!

    Well done,

  • Thanks for the comment. In respect to getting suno do what I want? I don't. I usually just try a few combinations then go with whatever sounds best. I do about 5, then pick the closest.

  • This is where chatGPT comes in, I tell it I want it in 6/8 time, and it comes back with the areas that need to be changed. I then think about the lyrics and what I want to say. sometimes it's me starting at a thesaurus for about 15 mins looking for similar words.

  • Right prompts

  • thanks for the comment. that's the style of prog rock. sometimes the lyrics don't make sense until you hear it. there are some lyrics that i'm trying to find again, where the make absolutely no sense, until you hear the music. the words they chose were more for sound than making sense. it was actually quite brilliant.

  • This one feels like a dream sequence to me. Really vivid images that morph from one to the next without me necessarily understanding them, or the thread between them.

By the end, it feels like the narrator has been reincarnated as a tree or plant. Beyond that the meaning isn't clear to me.

I preferred the first Suno version too, like Tammy, even with the minor cadence issues, but that's obviously your choice.

    Enjoyed the listen.

  • @RainyDayMan - Thanks for the comment.. the song is about letting go of past memories and growing new ones.. the first one made my ears hurt.. it was if you parted your hair the wrong way :)
