I Knew Lyrics

I knew I loved you
Way back when
I knew I loved you
When I looked at you different
Then them
I knew I loved you
Cos they were good
I knew I loved you
Cos I knew I was understood

We both are the same soul
With the same goal
Can't mess with gods mold
That be like never doing what your told

I knew way back when
I knew I loved you
When I looked at you different
Then them
I knew I loved you
Cos they were good
I knew I loved you
Cos I knew I was understood

Bark away the liars and the frauds
I cannot ignore God's
Calling on my being
I'm never going to stop singing

I love you all the days of my life
And I thought I loved the other five
God, how did I ever survive
I want you with me on this ride for life

I'm never saying goodbye
They can cry
I won't lie, I won't die,
Both you and I agreed,
To never let them divide

A love so real,
No need to lie,
No need to steal,
Scared the other ones,
They bealed,
Just what I want my man to do,
Don't mess up something so real

Don't mess up something only we feel <3

    Kayla,

Maybe for the benefit of people like Elvis and I who struggle with the concept of abstract lyrics, you could establish some context at the beginning. Three or four lines at the start would help us grasp what the rest is about. I have no doubt the whole thing is clear in your mind but for the majority of others they are likely to struggle to appreciate what you are saying.

When In doubt , make perfect sense . Your mixing in God and some man , its disjointed

    Right there it goes sideways

Bark away the liars and the frauds

    Calling on my being

I'm never going to stop singing

Hey Kayla….yeah, at first I just figured it was about romantic love, but after reading the whole thing, I don’t know, there are a lot of lines that feel like it’s a worship song. If it is religious, it might be straying into “God is my boyfriend” territory, though I don’t really know much about religious music so someone else would know better than I. I’d definitely consider adding in some context, just so people have a clearer idea of the message.

I guess you don't talk . make this about a man and not God and you might have something , it's hours of work on being a songwriter , if you want it bad enough
