Pretend You're The Wind

Just got back from a ski trip in Colorado. The sky was so blue, the sun was bright, the snow was real fluffy...and the winds were nice and light.
Then I stepped foot back home on Cape Cod. And the cold ocean wind off the water blew in a whole different song....
Intro
Does it seem like everything’s too quiet
Except for the party’s laughter
Strong libations and toasts to everyone
I felt a wisp pickin up on the beach
Testing the breeze and breathing the fragrance
If I was the wind I could bring on changes
Chorus
A feeling of fleeing
A sense of redeem
No presence of mind
The sight of the blind
If I was the wind
Turn around
All the abandoned songs make me crazy
Unfinished lines and sour notes take me
To a place where I start thinking I just can’t rhyme anymore
Then I lean in and hear that far off moan
It grabs ahold and reminds me again
The words I’m listening for just floated in...on the wind
When it blows into town and kicks up the dust
I’ll be in the bar sipping on a grand mar
Washing the beach sand off of my lips
The distraction I was listening for now it’s howling outside the door
Break
Just when you start thinking the air’s too calm
That’s when a blow starts coming on strong
It won’t let up until it’s been around way too long
When you’re sitting in church and your mind starts to drift
You’re thinking about new ways to hide from sin
Close your eyes and pretend you’re the wind
Chorus
A feeling of fleeing
A sense of redeem
No presence of mind
The sight of the blind
Pretend you’re the wind
Pretend you’re the wind
Scraping sunlight off of blue waves
Blowing all night into new days
The sight of the blind pretend you’re the wind

Sounds good man

Nice song. The relaxed vibe fits the lyric well. For me, the middle section maybe went too long without a chorus to break it up, even with the instrumental break.

WOW........ Just WOW. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is absolutely NO A.I. component to this. Correct? If I'm wrong, I'll have to elevate my concept of A.I. But this is (to my ears) so obviously artistic and uniquely original that I would be shocked to hear it was anything other than a human being playing a guitar and singing. One final note. WOW.

Nice! Got a stream of consciousness vibe to me, which seems a great fit for a song titled "Pretend you're the wind"
Like the way the melody goes at "Strong libations and toasts to everyone" and similar lines
Good stuff!

The vocals are far better than any of your other songs I have heard. The song is good but the strumming rhythm is "hokey" sounding. You are not alone! I don't know why that sound is so popular, like very popular in old folks homes! I think if you make the strumming "cool" then you will have some really good songs there.

Hey thanks everyone for listening and your comments...seems like life is often all about the wind, which way and how hard it's blowing.
@Hardtwistmusic , yeah man I used that new AI site, justlike.com, say a few words strum a few chords and it automatically writes the song and makes it sound just like you...😉
Naw, not yet but it's probably coming. This song is all me and mine. Thanks so much for your very very kind words my friend.

Your a funny guy , you barely scratched the surface on recording and your songs are going back to 1970 , and you bust Stoneys chops

Whether you do (or do not) take a foray into A.I. Music, I am so glad you keep doing these signer/guitarist songs. One singer, one guitar is my favorite type of music to listen to live. I would HATE to not hear any more.
