Miss Mary Sunshine
Lyrics - Me; Music - Vocals - Suno

[Verse 1]
Oh, Miss Mary sunshine
How shall your dreams go
Will you be spending them
In the field where poppies grow
Or floating on crystal waters
That make up the river time
Or climbing the knowledge tree
Of past and future realities
[Chorus]
Miss Mary lives very happily
In the confines of realities
And her conscious mind flows
While viewing lucid shows
Playing on life's movie screen
A transparent dream of dreams
What a scene, so serene
[Verse 2]
Oh, Miss Mary sunshine
How will these dreams go
Will you drop from waterfalls
Into pools Of shattered dreams
Or your third eye becomes blind
To a reality not as it seemed
Will you float eyes to the sky
Bathing in pools of bygone wisdom
Soaking in knowledge of former trials
With plans to rebuild your kingdom
[Chorus]
Miss Mary lives very happily
In the confines of realities
And her conscious mind flows
While viewing lucid shows
Playing on life's movie screen
A transparent dream of dreams
What a scene, so serene
[Outro]
In lucid dreaming she saw the light
Her dreams became visions of insight
When she woke to the morning sun
Dreams and realities are now as one

Now you're playing in my back yard, Lovely piece, could follow the lyrics pretty well.
Impressed with the choice of music/vocals off Suno.
Enjoyed everything about this one Bill.

Is this one about lucid dreaming then? That's what I took from it, anyway.
The music certainly fits that theme, atmospheric and moody and floating just out of reach.
Quite beautiful.

@sidshovel - thanks.. yes, another one that suno got on the second take.. the first i realized there was misspelled words, @RainyDayMan , - Yes, this is about lucid dreaming. this turned out better than what i had originally written. thanks for the comments :)

This reminds me of the vocalists of 60 England-Mary Hopkins, Marianne Faithfull, etc. Very impressive. Love the words and music.

Wow! This is really good. Near top professional in all respects. I could see this on a major release. It's a lot better than a lot of other new pop stuff.
I take all the above back. I didn't know it was AI generated. It's still really good but for Pete's sake can you do you own music, even acapella would be better!

This Ai argument goes round and around , its not going anywhere and will only improve with V4, V5, V6 .
its a challenge to beat robots , all it is to me

@ElvisNash - no point in commenting on the AI aspect any more, it is what it is.

Dosent bother me lol. I got bigger problems , like 2 car payments

@ElvisNash -I know.. it's just really gotten old..

Yup , get over it

@ElvisNash - it's been around since the 90's.. it's a billion+ dollar industry.. it's the devil, it's heaven, it doesn't matter

Man it's not the devil , its new technology . Nothing more. Like Madam Currie and her discoveries . Maybe Robiils should concentrate on better recordings to beat robots

I mean no disrespect at all! I'm simply trying to encourage everyone to try to do some original stuff. That's all. If you want to use AI that's fine. It's just that your essence will come out when it's your original input, good or bad. At this time I'm not a fan of AI. Maybe in the future? I don't know.

@robwills - I get what you are saying, but not everybody is a musician. and some of these songs I write are very complex and require more than sitting down with a guitar and amp. as I've mentioned. I can't sing.. nor do I know anybody that can sing. so, for people like me, this works. i also disagree about not being my essence.. my essence are in the words I write. call them abstract or obscure, it's still my vision. and to prompt a machine to get the music I have in my head out, works for me.

It's a pretty song and the lyrics fit that pretty melody and voice well. A couple of places where the AI gets the phrasing a little wrong, like the word "spending." Lots of good imagery. I like the echo of the nursery rhyme, "Mary, Mary, quite contrary."
It seems to me that AI works well for this kind of dreamy, trance-like song, where nuance of expression in the vocals is not a priority. And yes, why not use it to get those ideas out? I went for decades with songs in my head that I couldn't really produce until technology offered me ways to do it. One drawback of AI would be that you can't really publish or release the songs for copyright reasons. There could be some interesting legal battles coming up as a pretty good argument could be made that much of AI is basically theft of others' creations. There are counterarguments too. I sense a rosy future for copyright lawyers 🙄

@OnlyGavin -Thanks for the comment, you'll probably won't be surprised if I don't mind if the AI is off or sounds a bit to synthy. to me it gives the song color. My songs are never about trying to be perfection. Besides, when you listen to king crimson, ELP and Tool and other prog rock or experimental rock bands, it's possible to create these types of song. You just need the right synthesizer and guitar effects. You are not correct about the copyright.. since I'm using the paid version and not the free version of Suno, then my songs are covered under the commercial use license..
the following is directly from Suno:
Can I distribute my songs to Spotify, etc?
Yes! Well... let's talk about it.
If you made your songs while subscribed to a Pro or Premier plan, those songs are covered by a commercial use license. This allows you to distribute songs to Spotify, Apple Music, etc, using the distributor of your choice. This also allows you to use the songs in content you post to YouTube, TikTok, etc. You don't have to attribute the songs to Suno, but we wouldn't mind if you let your audience know we helped you create your masterpiece!
Songs made under the Basic (free) tier are only available for non-commercial use and cannot be monetized. These do not include the commercial use license, and starting a subscription after you made a great song will not give you a retroactive license for the song.
The lawsuits have come about because people have been using copyrighted lyrics, putting them into these AI music apps and calling them their own.. Since these are my lyrics, and I can prove they are my lyrics, then that doesn't apply to me.

Thanks for pointing that out. looks like I was wrong about that.
I was thinking more about the copyright issues that Suno, etc. might face, since they are the ones who could be alleged to be doing the stealing. Could get messy :)

@OnlyGavin - You know lawyers.. they have an out. when you post your own lyrics, there is a disclaimer that the lyrics you post are your own.

I listened to this elsewhere. It's truly lovely. BTW. . . I'm "Bluesymeditation 8106." How I ended up with that assigned name, I'm entirely unaware. Doesn't matter much to me.
