Love the positive upbeat music. I can imagine this going down really well with the right audience.
I saw your alternate lyrics there in the brackets, but it all sounded quite smooth as is to me just listening to it.
Good stuff.
Re: Trumpov
@sidshovel I can't disagree. And I had to look it up; Trumpov. Is that Russian for Trump? Well, we won't be hearing this song on the radio, cheers!

lyrics SS : music/vocals Ai
[verse 1]
You get time to look again, as age holds your hand,
watch the tapestry of your life, roll past your eyes.
Stop it at a point, and listen to the playback,
voices you haven't heard, for tens of years gone by.
[verse 2]
Laugh at all the daft things, that you did back then.
mistakes you'd avoid again, if you only had the chance.
Moments you let go by, you'd grab with both hands,
Times you hesitated, asking those girls for a dance.
[chorus]
Looking back at your life,
through a veil of fallen tears.
The sand in the hourglass,
has reached the Winter Years.
[verse 3]
The Autumn years are mellow, you think you still can,
do things you remember, and leave those you forget.
You ask permission from your body, to do a lot of stuff,
It stops you going mad and later dying to regret.
[chorus]
Looking back at your life,
through a veil of fallen tears.
The sand in the hourglass,
has reached the Winter Years.
[bridge]
Use your Winter Years, so you can dwell on what is due,
St Peter will decide if you've sinned or good at heart.
Will those who loved you, be enough to get you through,
or will your sins be many, and tear your hopes apart.
[chorus]
Looking back at your life,
through a veil of fallen tears.
The sand in the hourglass,
has reached the Winter Years.
[outro]
Looking back at your life,
through a veil of fallen tears.
The sand in the hourglass,
has reached the Winter Years.
Re: The certainty of poverty
it works , just a bit long for radio time , Unlike Fast Cars by Tracy Chapman
Not that you are going to be on radio , So don't matter
Re: "I 'll Stand The Pain" ( bluegrass fast)
I love blue grass stuff , Like Alison Kraus , Yeah get some players and get it done , looks good
Re: "I 'll Stand The Pain" ( bluegrass fast)
Hey I love the color of your grass..I got a pretty high lonesome voice...pretty good flat picker and I own and love to play dobro. Maybe we can do some long distance recording.
