Re: SoundCloud
I don't care for sound cloud , I would waste not 119 bucks on them. Them seem cheesy to me , just my take on them
I use them , For about 2 bucks you get some followers on each song
I think its 5 bucks a month to load songs in there

Re: SoundCloud
Elvis is your man when it comes to promotion Tammy.
Personally, I don't promote anything, so I have very limited knowledge I'm afraid.
Good luck
Sid
Re: Congratulations
Well it's only 10 bucks a month . production songs with live players are 50 times more for one song .
So its a deal of the 21st century
Cute song on your daughter
Re: Where, eagles fly no more
@bhengen, Thanks Bill, did note the unfair/year at the time but decided close enough was good enough.
@TammyB, Appreciate your comments Tammy, if it touches a spot, it's done its job.
@ElvisNash, Cheers Elvis, with events changing by the day, couldn't resist a commentary.
@RainyDayMan, Many thanks RDM, got that out of my system, go back under my rock for a while!

Sensitive Topic: I understand there will be others with alternative views and I respect those, but I am only looking for feedback on the song itself, not a debate on the topic. Please respect my wishes.
[verse 1]
Friends feel the pain, stabbed in the back,
common foes, they're wined an' dined.
Falkland Island's fish, they're a threat,
either nuke' em, or sanctions are fine.
[verse 2]
Blind, to medics being murdered,
deport anyone, thinks that's unfair.
Tough luck, if Granny's sent to jail,
El Salvador's good, this time of year.
[chorus]
The Orange Man has a plan,
it's time, to settle the score.
till the U.S. is just a memory,
an' where, eagles fly no more.
[verse 3]
Russia invadin' others, well it's wrong,
Canada, well it makes a good state.
US takin' Greenland, well it just belongs.
Ukraine joinin' NATO, well they can wait.
[verse 4]
Whoa DOGGIE! you just can't do that,
Mr Musk says, the law's on his side,
Sackin' people, without a MAGA hat.
Trump's Pied Piper, will run an' hide.
[chorus]
The Orange Man has a plan,
it's time, to settle the score.
till the U.S. is just a memory,
an' where, eagles fly no more.
[bridge]
We'll bring in tariffs, so you pay more,
if ya not happy, we'll show ya the door.
Mexico, the E.U., even Canada too,
decided, we no longer need you.
[final chorus]
The Orange Man has a plan,
it's time, to settle the score.
till the U.S. is just a memory,
an' where, eagles fly no more.
[outro]
A global war, bigger than Yemen,
follow our plans, they're on C.N.N.
Tech Bro piggies, emptied the trough,
will the last to leave, turn the lights off.
Re: Black Woman Glory
yeah you switched pro nouns in chorus like a man is talking about his women
You own the song if its paid subscription , if it free , they own it
Sweet idea
Re: Black Woman Glory
Very powerful language, well done.
Loved how casually you dropped "everyday" into "Hearing the who shot who stories today, everyday"
I found the lyric had the most punch where it was speaking about Black women more in the abstract. The first two verses are like that and to me hit hard. When you get to the chorus and use "As long as we got each other" it felt like a perspective switch. Now it's become personal. When I first read that I thought maybe this was a husband/lover talking, but at "from one black woman to another" I think that clarifies, but it felt like another veer in the path. Personally I would stick with one perspective, but that's a matter of choice.
Good choice of music, seems like a good fit to your message, and very enjoyable to listen to.
Good song!
Re: Black Woman Glory
@TammyB Echo Bill's comments, a real cool laid back song with a powerful message told with passion.
Very good piece, enjoyable listen.
Thanks for posting.

Re: My pal sal
Has a curious childlike quality to it, though the language is clearly aimed at adults, as is the musical style you've chosen for it.
Some lovely phrases like: neon's flowing wine
And I like the rhyming structure. Hard to keep that going over 6 verses and make it feel natural.
Don't know what qualities the contest is looking for, but my personal rating would be around 7.5. I think it's well crafted, but at the end of it, it wasn't stuck in my head, nor something I would rush to share.

Dedicated to those who pulled the strings to get TSF back up and running, so I wrote this song!!!!!!!
lyrics SS music/vocals Ai
[verse 1]
Once in a long lost time,
in a land of coconuts an' limes.
A little girl slid down a hole
to a world of verses an' rhymes.
[verse 2]
A place of wobbly cadences,
filled with equally odd pretenses
lines that refuse to rhyme,
treated as a capital crime.
[chorus]
What if the Wizard of Oz were true,
an' there's a world we never knew.
People livin' beneath our feet,
what if, Dorothy's shoes were blue.
[verse 3]
Professor Price runs the place.
assisted by his henchman R.D.M.
Expect a shout if your syllables are out,
there's definitely, no pleasin' them.
[chorus]
What if the Wizard of Oz were true,
an' there's a world we never knew.
People livin' beneath our feet,
what if, Dorothy's shoes were blue.
[verse 4]
There's a tea party every Tuesday,
and an arty farty every bluesday.
Friday's Mick Jagger lookalike,
Sunday's fight night, an open mic.
[chorus]
What if the Wizard of Oz were true,
an' there's a world we never knew.
People livin' beneath our feet,
what if, Dorothy's shoes were blue.
[verse 5]
A world of old-time rockers,
swappin' crack for Beta-blockers.
Broke Zimmer frames on the stage,
wore their hair like Jimmy Page.
[chorus]
What if the Wizard of Oz were true,
an' there's a world we never knew.
People livin' beneath our feet,
what if, Dorothy's shoes were blue.
[bridge]
They call themselves a forum,
worship at the Church of Procul Harem
judge songs as if they're gods,
Say hello to the Pissheads at Odds.
[chorus]
What if the Wizard of Oz were true,
an' there's a world we never knew.
People livin' beneath our feet,
what if, Dorothy's shoes were blue.
[outro]
Don't play with an in-line verse,
you'll only make it worse.
Burn your bridges at your peril,
hear the chorus of the Gerbil !!!!
