It's gruesome and I can totally picture this working as a musical. I don't think I could stomach it any other way. But with some singing and dancing, it could be entertaining.

It's coming together nicely. Going to watch your progress :)
A guy on another site said he would pass on T.J. English's book b/c the thought of blood made him sick. 'But good luck with the score!'

I told him 'Funny, that's what THEY were about---the score'.

RIMSHOT...

Is that supposed to be funny? I was being honest. Not sure what you re looking for - feedback or an audience?

That's just me---I joke about everything.

Don't be offended. I appreciated your comments...

I notice you live in Poughkeepsie.

Did you know or know of David Woods or Eddie Diehl?...

Not off the top of my head, but I know some people just by first names. Are they musicians?

They were. Both gone.

Dave was well-known and loved in Poughkeepsie. Owned a home at 29 Academy---widow (Janet) may still live there. Great guy. Started a program teaching guitar to prisoners. He was also executor for the estate of his father, Harry Woods, composer of I'm Looking Over a 4-Leaf Clover; Try a Little Tenderness---many more.

Eddie was one of the great jazz guitarists, an 'inside' figure to jazz people. Was an early mentor to me and a friend (like Dave) for 40+ years. He lived on Raymond at Davis, near Vassar, and made his living as a luthier/repairman. Did excellent work too...

Sorry to hear they are not around any more. I doubt I knew them based on what you say. My interactions in the music arenas are only about 3 or 4 years old. I do know the streets you mention, and the songs by Harry Woods.

Eddie? Janus-faced is the best I can do---brilliant, too. (See my thread on 'damaged people'---though I wasn't referring to him specifically)...

When we can get back to music as usual, I will ask around about these guys. I am sure I will meet people who knew them.

I'll keep you posted on what I discover.

Dave is well known, Eddie less so, but the better player by far. The guitar players know him.

I like Poughkeepsie---spent a lot of time with those guys. Eddie took me to the Bardavan to see Flora & Airto for my 32nd b'day. I was fooling with photography then, got a great shot of that red front door of the Armory.

Last time I was up was for Dave's memorial---must've been late 2016. Eddie passed in 2017. I'll make it back sometime to see Janet and Dave's sons...

I found them both doing a quick google search. Dave does not look familiar, but Eddie is a maybe. I asked my husband if he knew either and he thought Eddie Diehl sounded familiar. Our son plays guitar, so maybe we have met him at some point.

Poughkeepsie is growing. The walkway Over the Hudson was a nice addition to our area. After 9/11 a lot of NYC people moved into Dutchess County. Now Covid is bringing more. The whole Hudson valley is going through changes these days. The improvements are nice, but the rising prices for housing not so much.

If you get back to Poughkeepsie take a look at the venue at The Chance. It is mostly Hard rock and Metal, but there are sometimes good bands.

I WILL get back eventually. After I'm settled in CT and NY the commute will be much easier...

You are so right. Traffic on the Jersey turnpike is always awful! Good luck with your move.
