I agree with the folks above about the repeated use of the word, "Fuck." I'm not against a well placed swearword in a song, especially one with a conversational tone which this does a good job of creating, but it does just seem like it's there fo…

Glad you enjoyed it abc4. Thanks for listening.

I knew I'd love it, and I did, although I'm a bit confused. Are you an alien coming to earth?

I like this, but I have a bit of a problem with the lyric. A caged bird can certainly sing. People keep songbirds in cages for that very reason. Since the title draws attention to this line, I think it could be important to fix it. Maybe, "Can a …

Not a fan of Led Zeppelin, but enjoyed what I heard, It seems that you have the guitars panned hard left and right. I think it would be better to move them closer to the center. It sounds unnatural. In real life you don't hear music 100% in one e…

Cat people and dog people lol. I actually like both, even though I'm definitely a dog person. Cats do seem to like me for some reason.

Glad you enjoyed it, Popitup. Notice that in the song she leaves the cat with him as a punishment lol.

Nice, and yes, it does recall Dylan quite a lot. Musically, I liked the verses better than the chorus, which didn't seem to flow as naturally as in your other songs. It seemed to stop and then start up again in a way that, to me, didn't seem to q…

No problem with hijacking the thread Joseph. That's a very nice song. It has all the sweetness that you find in the Christmas music that we end up hating but it's saved by the variety in the melody, the clever echoes of bells and caroling phrases…

That silky voice of yours is just right for Christmas songs! As Chris points out, your voice is panned hard left, which makes it hard to appreciate this as it deserves to be.

Thanks Owen. I set out to write a completely misanthropic antidote to sugary Christmas sentiment, but the dog snuck in and added a positive note LOL.

Thanks, JayDub. Glad you enjoyed…

Thanks Chris. I feel the same about that song and all the others. In fact, I was inspired to write this one when someone posted a sugary sweet Christmas song at another forum a while back LOL.

A Christmas downer - that's unusual! I can hear this playing in a Hallmark movie, 10 minutes before she realizes that she actually loves him and they meet at that lamp post :)
I enjoyed it. Nice production and vocals and I'm a sucker for 3/…

Great video and lyric and the music and production is superb. I was drawn in by the intro, which had a stronger melody than I am used to hearing from you. Then you shot the melody in the head at 25 seconds lol. I found myself wishing you had deve…

Beautiful, simple lyric and the soft vocal and accompaniment fit the mood really well. As Tom points out, you could add some more instrumentation, maybe a gentle jazzy sax, but, on the other hand, keeping it simple does tie in with the "no drama"…

Nice funky, jazzy feel and great performance as well. The song itself is top notch. Like Owen, I heard the vocals only through the left side of my headphones.
Howdy, Stranger!
