Some Kinda Love
https://www.facebook.com/100000522863606/videos/1370915903740435
You say you don't want troubles,
you had troubles in the past,
an' love it ain't nothin but trouble,
an' good love it don't ever last.
All you want is someone in your bed
sometimes, an' that's eno-o-ough,
well ok darlin but ain't that
some ki-inda lo-ove.
----
Oh we got some kind of love, maybe not the usual kind,
some kind of love, maybe not what I had in mi-i-ind,
but darlin how can I complain, when you give me so much,
I'll take whatever you give me babe,
'cause you're my kind of lo-ove.
----
Oh yeah, whatever we got my baby, we got some kinda lo-ove.
An' maybe people they would say / you don't give me enough
that you're leadin me astray an' I deserve / a ring an' all that stuff.
An' maybe people they will say / they think I got it rough,
well +they can't see what +you give me / is really some kind of love.
----
Oh yeah, whatever ya got for me baby, I want your kinda lo-ove.
Now you don't want the worries / an' you don't want those strings,
that would make you feel like a prisoner, / with all the hassles that love brings.
Ok darlin I won't tie you down,
that ain't what I am thinkin of,
I'll just hang on to what we got,
'cause it's some crazy kinda lo-o-love.
Oh yeah, whatever we got my baby, we got some kinda lo-ove.
And when we lie together
when you hold me in the da-ark
you can't deny we're both feelin
a most heavenly kinda spa-ark.
Oh I don't care what you call it babe, / I think I'll just call your bluff,
'cause whatever it is you know it is / some kinda lo-ove.
----
Oh yeah, whatever ya got for me baby, I want your kinda lo-ove.
Oh I can't imagine anything / better than what we got,
an' whatever it is, it's what it is, / I don't care what it's not.
Nah I don't care what you call it, / it came down from heaven abo-ove,
whatever it is I'll take it babe / 'cause you're my kinda lo-ove.
Oh yea-eah, you're my baby an' you're my kinda lo-ove.

Gives me a Dylan vibe. Definitely got a mood and vibe going.
There's a few lines feel a bit crowded to me, but I'm sensing that's part of your style.
I like the switch from "some" to "my" kind of love at the end.

Yes I think my style lately, in some songs, is to have a lot of words and squeeze them in. Not sure why.
Also want to note that "some kind of" can have two different meanings, the more literal and the more slangish.

Hi @Songbird52
'Some kinda love' is a 'love-ly' lyrical hook! I really like the American folk/country style of this. The lyrics are sweetly affirming and very suited to the genre. I can see this/hear this playing aver a film with a woman swinging on a porch seat as her love goes home 'the morning after.'
Your voice has that lovely country twang in this song that completely sells it. 😎

Thank you so much for the nice comments! Yes, I was hoping this sounded real country!

A mixture of old time country and folk and one of my faves from you. Nice simple melody and message in the lyrics.
There's nothing wrong with packing a lot of words into a line. If you are able to sing them all without sounding unnatural and rushed, it can add character and charm. There's a few places here where you don't seem quite to pull it off and you could easily fix the by taking out an unneeded word.
In other places, adjusting the phrasing would be enough to solve the problem.

Hi @Songbird52
I do not have Facebook but I watched and listened to your song on other forum and I led it!!! Glad to see you here!

Thank you! I am hoping that as I practice it more the words will sound less rushed. Or if that doesn't always work, as you said, removing a word here or there could fix the bad spots.

Good song, Songbird52! I agree with RDM regarding the Bob Dylan vibe. I enjoyed listening. Nice work!

I think I lived this once and it didn't end well for me.
She sounds happy as does the music. It's fun and enjoyable with a nice country vibe. I hope it works out better for her than for me!
Very nice!

Thanks! Well, the song isn't supposed to mean what it says on the surface. The girl is letting this guy have complete control and do whatever the heck he wants. That does not necessarily lead to happily ever after.
So yeah, it sounds fun and happy but beneath the surface it's ominous. Thank you for your comments, and thank you for getting the point!

Yeah, I do understand. As I said before, I have lived this song. It felt happy and fun even knowing there were no plans to be forever. The end is very painful.

Well yes, the better something is the worse it feels when it ends. But you know, we don't have guarantees with people, no matter how much of a commitment there might be. Marriages often end, people die.

I too can hear a hint of Dylan about this. Maybe it could run a bit more slow and relaxed, but I'm loving this. Great vocal, great music.😀

Thank you! Yes maybe it should be a little slower.
