  • Billion genres now , but it fits EDM to me

  • You have it correct, it's more pop style than edm, maybe trance / house... can you please post the lyrics?

    Hi @bhengen

When the city starts to glow

    But im dreaming higher

    Im chasing a fire

    A heart like a rocket

And the world cant pull me down

    Gravitys heavy

    But im weightless with you

    Were riding our future

    In a sky so blue

    To the moon

    Were flying past the pain

    Were racing through the dark

    Like we own the space

Yeah I know just what to do

    Fly to the moon

    Zero regrets

When im floating in your gaze

No atmosphere can block the truth

I was born to rise with you

    So lets rise

  • We'll there ya go , its all rock and roll to me lol

I never cared for 'genre' distinctions. That what you're doing doesn't fit someone else's pre-conceived (and ever changing) ideas of classification has nothing to do with your music in my opinion. I'd classify it as "dance pop" if I were to classify it, but it doesn't really fit there either. If it were me, I'd be proud to have created something that won't fit into some meaningless "nook" or "niche" with a label. BTW. . . I liked the song.

I will leave you with some unsolicited advice. I've been top to bottom on your soundcloud songs. Not saying I listened to all of them, but listened to five or six. I'll suggest that you look (visual look) at your whole catalogue of songs, and notice the similarities in the visual appearance of all of them. That's just ONE of the many clues that you can utilize to evaluate your songs btw. What I would suggest (if you want) is that you go to several other sites and take the same look. If you particularly like a song, listen AND look. I think you would be well advised to create some higher mountains, and lower valleys, and more of each in a few songs, (again in the visual look) and see if you don't like the outcomes. This is not a criticism. Just a suggestion that might allow you a different take on your own songs. None of us are "disinterested observers" of our own songs, and this might give you an additional objective criteria.

All about the sound for me in this one. Nothing wrong with the lyric, but it's secondary, and that's just fine.

And the sound works great! I don't know the genre, but I love the bassline and the vocal harmonies. And the synth and drums are also great.

    Good stuff.

I had to laugh when I saw that you "have no commercial aspirations." None of us have any REALISTIC "commercial aspirations". But man is it fun or what?
