In the fire of your embrace

It snowed here last night, I discovered it this morning when I woke up... It looked like a Christmas card because it wasn't quite dawn yet and the lights gave the landscape and streets a fairytale glow... I live near a lake and a river and it's not common to see snow around here... it was wonderful. Now the sun is stripping the fields of that white color and turning them brown again, like cats at night. And after telling you all this, which you probably don't care about, hahaha, I'll leave you with this song to warm you up.

My love

love me as if we were at war

and tomorrow

would no  longer knock

on our door

Love me

like a stranger

free from reproaches

and distance

free frorm the weight of the past

just take me tenderly

like I am a woman who trembles

hidden in her own shade

May your breath

be in mine

when I tell you my name

and the warmth

of your body

flows into mine

Make me wood that burns

in the fire of your embrace

    Gracias @bhengen

Sometimes I argue with Marcus when I think the solo he's done for this or that song doesn't fit the idea I want hahaha but that's okay, that's how I end up with something awesome!!! He does the same with my songs, criticizing them harshly, and I have to repeat many things...

    Have a nice year!!

  • Mora- Happy New Year!

This song makes me feel fuzzy and warm inside, and I'm not sure if I want to dance or cuddle up in a warm blanket. I love the YouTube visuals as well.

    hmmm...okay. Love, love, love...great

    "just take me tenderly

like I am a woman who trembles

    hidden in her own shade"

Overall: I enjoyed it and look forward to more.

Hola @TammyB nice to meet you!!! Thank you so much for commenting, really appreciated!! Have a nice new year

  • The impression I get is of a woman, shy and delicate, but oh so passionate! And in these words she opens herself entirely to her man, inviting him to become one with her.

    So many lovely lines here:

Love me like a stranger, ... free from the weight of the past

May your breath be in mine ... and the warmth of your body flows into mine

    I enjoyed my listen!

  • You're welcome, Mora! You have a fantastic year as well! Let your husband know that he's an amazing guitarist!! How long has he been playing? Self-taught? I'm asking because my father was a self-taught musician (piano and guitar).

    Hola @RainyDayMan

What a beautiful appreciation!!! I thought the same as you when I was writing the story; I wanted to paint a woman like that. I'm so touched to see that you understood it, how wonderful! Thank you so much for your sensitivity.

Have a new year full of good things

  • I really like this M... it's not as dark as some of the others. While i wouldn't call this "sunny" it is uplifting.

I love the title, "In The Fire of Your Embrace". And woah... some nice poetry! Firey embers of incense burn there.

    Very good stuff, M

    Hola @TammyB

Oh, thank you. Marcus was a professor of guitar at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid after completing his degrees in classical guitar and trumpet, but he left teaching several years later to dedicate himself to modern music with the electric guitar. He created several bands that became well-known, recorded several albums, worked as a session musician, and finally set up his own studio to dedicate himself completely to what he loved. He has worked in advertising with various jingles and things like that... Currently, he doesn't use his real name online after his first YouTube channel, which had thousands of followers, was stolen. Now he prefers to maintain his privacy, knowing that social media is dangerous; it's better to be anonymous.

I'm very grateful that he plays guitar in the music I create. For me, it's an honor, and it also gives my work a great quality. Does your father have videos of himself playing?

    Thanks for your curiosity.

  • Well thats pretty sexy . Aren't you Spanish women kinda built that way ?

    Sounds good Mora
