[Verse 1]

Cheeseburger

French fries

cold drink

Blue eyes

Pretty smile

Blond hair

One meal

We share

A good time

A great mood

The two of us

Fast food

[Chorus]

A cheeseburger

A good meal

The two of us

Sittin’ still

You smile

We touch

I love it

So much

The perfect meal

I must concur

You, me and

A cheeseburger

[Verse 2]

Cheeseburger

French fries

Cold drink

Super size

It ain’t much

We don’t care

‘Cause I’m here

And you’re there

You’re the one

That I adore

Who could ask

For anymore

[Chorus]

A cheeseburger

A good meal

The two of us

Sittin’ still

You smile

We touch

I love it

So much

The perfect meal

I must concur

You, me and

A cheeseburger

[Bridge]

We’re so in love

The feelings stir

You and me and a

cheeseburger

[Chorus]

A cheeseburger

A good meal

The two of us

Sittin’ still

You smile

We touch

I love it

So much

The perfect meal

I must concur

You, me, and

A cheeseburger

  • Everybody loves cheeseburgers , Sounds good

  • Hey Ray, this one actually reminds me a bit of a lyric you shared all those years ago — Hot Dog! Not sure if you still remember it among the hundreds you’ve written, but I do… it was the very first lyric of yours I ever read
  • I love the simple, short lines. The music is good for this lyric. Simplicity is hard to find nowadays, so I think this can be something people can listen to. There is just something really cool about the simple, driven, fast pace of this song.

  • Well it doesn't do it for me, but I'm the odd one out! I don't feel like it's saying much.

Can I ask you to indicate in the post when the music is AI generated please? Some members prefer not to listen to those, and it's the compromise we've landed on with AI at the moment.

  • The owners of some cheeseburger chains should promote this song. It sounds great, very dynamic, with that youthful spirit that you feel while you eat the hamburger trying not to drip too much mustard hahaha

  • Groundhog, it's amazing to me that you still remember that old Hot Dog lyric - that was always one of my personal favorites, too lol I was eating hot dogs for lunch one day, somebody dared me to write a lyric about it...and that's what ended up happening lol Robert Baitinger picked that one up over in Germany and enjoyed doing a lot of good work with it a made a real fun song out of it, too. Robert's retired and is living in Florida now, but with the new AI platforms, he's still working like mad and in all of the best ways. He has a new, more recent, and even better version of the song. I emailed him for its current link - when he gets back to me with it, I'll post it in this strong for you, too :-)

  • Elvis, thanks for the kind words...for me, one of the best joys in life is being served a gigantic cheeseburger that's as big as my own head - if anybody gives me one of those then I'll pretty much follow them hom from there lol

  • Hardtwistmusic, I write in a variety of ways and formats, but sometimes one of my favorite things to do is minimalize my lyrics as much as possible. I've found that with some songs - not all of them, mind you, but some of them - the fewer the words that you put in, the more powerful those words tend to be. Sometimes it's almost like a game to me to see just how few words I can put into a piece lol Ironically, sometimes lyrics with few words in them can be MUCH harder to write the lyrics with lots of words in them. :-P And thank you for taking the time to both give this one a listen and to then share your thoughts on it, too - it means more to me than you know :-)

  • RainyDayMan - don't worry if this one doesn't appeal to you. One of the last things that I ever want to do is write songs that are always structured and sound the same. Instead, I like to write out and produce around a wide range of styles, formats, content, and genres...and, as a result, it would be highly unrealistic for me to expect everyone to like everything that i do. Perhaps the next one that I put out will be more to your liking...in the meantime, I still want to thank you for taking the time to give this one a listen and to share your thoughts on it - it means more than you know :-)

I'm afraid that I tend to be slow at times, though, and didn't quite understand your request, "Can I ask you to indicate in the post when the music is AI generated please? Some members prefer not to listen to those, and it's the compromise we've landed on with AI at the moment." Let me know what I need to do here and I'll be more than happy to do so...and again, I'm sorry for being a bit on the daft side at times lol :-)

  • MoraAmaroLaLoba, I originally wrote this lyric way back in 2008, and of all the lyrics that I wrote that nobody ever ended up picking up and working with, it's always been one of my favorites. So, when I finally gave in and started experimenting with the new AI platforms (which I started doing only a week or two ago lol), this one was high up on my list to play with. I had to wait for seventeen very long years before finally getting to hear what this piece might sound like when properly produced...and I must say, I do like it A LOT lol It took some work and some tinkering, but I was able to make Suno make it sound pretty much the same way that I've always imagined it being in my heard :-) It was funny when I initially wrote it and posted it on Songwriter101 all those years ago because it pretty much became "the cheeseburger that was heard around the world" lol I had never had a lyric receive so many views and from so many quarters like that one did - people were posting in the strand that nobody had ever seen post in the strand at all...I really can't explain it lol I even had a very dear, old friend that I had lost contact with after she moved to Mexico...and just by chance she came across this lyric on SW101, so who posted it, reached out to me, and we were finally able to touch base with one another as a result. And I've wondered about a possible fast food connection with it, too...I just might end up having to explore that one eventually :-)
