21st Century
Another one done at County Q recording studios
I think we did 4 in 3 hours , Thats how they work , Then they go to another studio in the afternoon and do 4 more , pay scale union . Paul the owner was bit demanding of players , they crank em out pretty fast. if it was a master recording they probably spend more time on them , labels would be paying the bill . I'm sure that has not changed in 2025

Her name was Bambi Buckles
She played at Mccready's Bar
She had braided hair a little flower on her guitar
She said played with the Dead back in 92
But I guess those days are thru
Its the 21st century
but you know it's the same ole game
Ya got Alternative that turns with a little bit of a twist
Ya got hip hop rap Marvin Gaye would be shaking his fist
She had real close friends behind the scenes
But all they wanted was in her jeans
Its the 21st century
but you know it's the same ole game

But just long as you can rock that roll
Move some lonely soul
it really doesn't matter if it's 1953
If you get em feeling that fire inside
Well honey you're ahead of your time
Its the 21st century
but you know it's the same ole game
V3
Well say young country has swept all over the world
Ya got Garth Shania young stars the age of 12
But it's still broken hearts steel guitars
Some ole boy that's holding all the cards
Its the 21st century
but you know it's the same ole game

Well its still relevant on the music biz , Some old boy holding all the cards , its dated now since I said Garth and Shania , Thats a rule you should not break . Don't date songs with references that do so

I like the style you've given it; it feels like a movie. And yes, your lyrics made me remember that atmosphere in the studios with the musicians packing up after recording here and having to go record another piece there!!!
I have engraved in my memory the smell of a guitar case, so full of everything, everything..
Very good work, as professional as always. @ElvisNash

They still do that in Nashville , its basically 3 hour sessions, 3 times a day in different studios , of course if it majors the spend more time on the songs , Sitting there messing with licks what's the best for the song. They could probably spend weeks in a studio with big budgets . What are we talking here 400k for a record ? I'm not sure . They might fly to New York City to mix it
