Chasin The Tiger

Quarter moon sitting in a darkened sky
I wake and I wonder
Why do I see these illusions
Like 7 angels thrown to the sun
A world that lives by the gun
And a baby child so lost in her emotions
Ch
Chasin the tiger
Thats killing my dreams
Like a swollen raging river out of control now
Out of control
V2
Destiny is for the strong of heart
The weak they just follow to the hollow sound
Torchered in their minds
Eerie whistle in the noon day sun
Somebody laughs somebody runs to the devil
silent desperation
Ch
Bridge
God just wants you to understand this world
all the abstractions that you feel
Just stop and you will find your peace of mind
And you know he'll keep you warm
V3
Saturday night in America young man goes crazy
Seeking a shelter to sooth his troubled mind
Young girl in her early teens raising a baby she doesn't need
And another day done to the sweltering winds

@ElvisNash - This is a killer song.. the guitars have a gordon lightfoot vibe to it. really wish I could write like this, but I have a mind that meanders. you shouldn't stop writing or playing just because of AI. Ai, sucked the projects away from me, so I have to adapt. from the song closing time - Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.

Some of the phrasing sounds just like your voice on this one! Definitely has an Elvis Nash feel to it.
It's very evocative and moody. I don't really follow the lyric though. Lines like "Like 7 angels thrown to the sun" are vivid, but they don't seem to connect to me. And I don't understand how the verses relate to the chorus or what tiger it is you're chasing. Then the Bridge comes in about God and that just felt right out of place. But that could be just me. Others might follow it fine.
Music is good though, and it's very easy to listen to and drift away on. I would have preferred a more definite ending rather than the fadeout, but that's more a personal preference.

its a bit of a abstract lyric , with feeling lines than a connect like a country song Owen
Its pretty old song going back 25 years or so , I was just browsing old tracks , down memory lane
it was recorded in Huey Lewis studio years ago , fade outs were more prevalent back then . Me on guitar and a few buddies helping out .its basically a cost issue on doing new music , Maybe I'll do a guitar vocal Bill , Bills and taxes kill me , California sucks on costs , especially for seniors. I should have went to Asia 6 years ago , to late now I'm stuck here , Depression and suicide thoughts have been pretty bad , Damn government and their bullshit .
Thanks guys

I hear you on the cost of living in Cal. i've been away for about 20 years. it's brutal. i thought things would be fine collecting ss, nope. It's easy to look back on things that we should have done. the list can be extensive. depression sucks.

Nope I have to play a tricky game to survive , SS is not enough , I still might ditch to Asia if things get worse , I have a house there , or wife does same same , Some bad mistakes on my part , One was music . I asked Jonny Cola the Huey lewis guy , When were done with this song , lets go to the massage parlor . Kinda reminds me of Robin Williams and partying with Harry Nilsson they ended up in a massage parlor 7 states away , Robin Said I'm not partying with Harry anymore , ha ha ha

I have no idea what this song is about now , it seem like a good idea 25 years ago , Half them old rock songs make no sense, it was done live no edits , Huey was coming in , We had to be quick , it was free to me

what I took from this song ,is going down a path that will eventually bite you in the ass. The seven angels and gun sounds like a nod to willie nelson's 7 Spanish angels song. the bridge is always wanting something you can't have. just calm down and if it was meant to be, it will. the last verse to me, is about troubled youths, and the plight of america. I could be reading too much into it :)

Thats pretty much it , I don't think I was on drugs , memory loss

Nice lyrical flow, good evolution of content, and vocals that are both compelling and easy to listen to...well done :-)

Well I'm glad you got what I was singing about , its been so long I forget , I used to live in a junk yard and play all day
There was a girl that lived in the junk yard , She said she was Greg Allmans daughter , I kinda doubt it , She was crazy . of course ya never know , She did look like Greg
