Don’t you call me a liar
Don’t you call me a snake
You’re the wolf that’ll hide in sheep’s clothes
You do what you do just to take
So, don’t you call me your fire
Don’t you call me your saint
Don’t you call me the love of your life
The heart on your sleeve’s only paint
No, no, no, don’t call me
No, no, no, don’t call me
Find yourself a new heart ache
Find yourself a new heart ache
Now, don’t you call me your baby
Don’t you call me your rock
Don’t you call me to come pick you on up
One foot before the other
Is how you walk the talk
No, no, no, don’t call me
No, no, no, don’t call me
Find yourself a new heart ache
Find yourself a new heart ache

Nice line!
I like how you're using "don't call me" with multiple meanings.
Got a good feel to it over all.
Felt a bit early to go into a break straight after v1, whereas after the chorus felt spot on.
I can imagine this going down really well in a pub rock scene.

Hey there Rainy, thanks for stopping by 😎
My original recording did not have a bass and drum. I really like this recording...the sand and grit really come through.
Thanks, again.

Hola @IronKnee
I don't remember the original one but this one is really fine, good sound, cool atmosphere, great guitars and great lyrics, a wonderful ensemble.

Hi M... and that is why I love these Covers.
My music is rather forgettable, despite my writing efforts.

Vaya!!! Bad thoughts traveling your mind @IronKnee It is not true what you say about your work!!! Desde luego, este hombre!!

So very nice of you to say, but I know the truth, M
These cover that I make is how they were always supposed to sound. Now, had I a working band from when I was a kid, the training would have surely made a difference. As an amateur, my playing and singing fine, but that is as far as I can brag about myself.
The music that I write, is what I am proud of. And while I don't believe I ever killed my songs, to execute really good music is not the same as murdering it. 😎

You do a better job than most, Tom, don't sell yourself short! I can understand your own recordings are not to the standard you'd like, but they surely show how it's meant to be.

Thanks for saying, Rainy.
But I have to say, I haven't been this enthused with music in decades.
