Hey, all.  I haven't been on here much lately and as it is I'm trying to speed-type before a baseball game...

So does anyone use a digital voice recorder?  I'm going to get one since most of my free time to record is on the run between errands and I have been doing some review research but most reviews refer to the quality of recording LECTURES, not music.

So are you personally aware of a recorder that delivers smooth, non-tinny recordings?

Thanks!
~Christina

The tascam dr-07 is amazing for the price and its easy to use. Youmcan find them for 75 and under on EbayIf you don't need something with any fidelity, most smartphones have voice recording apps. Good luck, hope this helped...

I second the tascam product, but consider the features you want.

here's a site I used to compare

http://nofilmschool.com/2012/04/audio-recorder-roundup-h4n-zoom-vs-tascam/

When looking for audio samples, I just search the model on youtube and a bunch of videos will come up and you can hear how they sound

Hi Christina,

I personally just put deas down on my phone's recording function and use my vocal mic and software when it is time to really record.

If you are looking to use one of those portable recoreders, I suggest looking for the ones that record in stereo with 2 larger than normal microphones built in.

Troy

Dunno this from personal experience, but I've heard that any good Mp3 player or Ipod can be used for a personal recorder.  Let me know if I'm wrong about that.

Good to hear from you again.
