Zee Bop

Lyrics by Marty Ray Boone

You're the crazy dude that I adore Love to go a'dancin' on the floor
When you hold me tight and kiss my lips Your kissin' makes my heart to skip
Zee bop a doo da Zee bop a dee da Zee bop a doo da Zee bop a dee da

When we go a'dancin' on the floor Love to say oh baby give me more
When you love me baby late at night Your lovin' makes me feel alright
Zee bop a doo da Zee bop a dee da Zee bop a doo da Zee bop a dee da

When you hold me baby in your arms I feel your lovin' and your charms
You are the man that I adore Come on now baby give me more
Repeat Zee bop........

When we go a'dancin' in the night We feel the beat and feel so right
You are the man that I adore Let's dig the beat and hit the floor
Repeat Zee bop...........

Remember how our lovin' feels It makes me rock and makes me reel
You are the man that I adore Let's dig the scene and hit the floor
Repeat zee bop..........

Just dig the groove and hold me tight We'll go a'dancin' in the night
Just dig the beat and start to swing You are the groovin' dancin' king
Repeat zee bop a do da..............

Pick up the beat and shake that thing The groovin' makes me want to sing
Get in the beat and find the groove We dig the scene and start to move
Get in the groove and dig that jive You make me feel so much alive
Just grab my hand and hit the floor Come on now baby give me more.

Certainly has a jazzy feel. Zee bop is the perfect title.

Marty,

As you can see I have moved this post from the 'lyric' section to here and posted the music. It can be played by clicking the link or using the windows media player (with Internet Explorer preferably).

The vocalist did a great job of giving your song that jazzy scat feel. I like the stand up bass in this too.

Troy

Really great Marty. This would fit in with any song of that genre. I'd say the singer did a great job showing off the lyrics. Good luck with it.

I like it, Marty. It's full of energy and pep. Sounds like it's right out of the 1940's. Perfect!

I, Marty Ray Boone, wrote the lyrics! I sent them to a demo company in Nashville Tennessee and they came up with some great music for them. They only told me the singer's first name is Laura.

Hey Marty i like it, really has a great jazz flow to it, i think maybe you could have it all a four line verse then your hook line "Zee bop a doo da Zee bop a dee da Zee bop a doo da Zee bop a dee da" i think your two line verses are to short as is, anyway just my thoughts on this, really like it

Absolutely brilliant. Different genre completely to what I do, but this has real class and deserves success. I'd love to see/hear it performed live.

Great jazz song and your singer did a professional job. This should be on the airwaves, Marty. Excellent demo!
