My GPS Is Set For Heaven

Writers: Fran Williams, Roy Harris and Kevin Wicker
Demo: Kevin Wicker, Progress Nashville

Chorus
I set my GPS for Heaven
I once was lost but now I’m found
I was headin down the wrong direction
But now my soul is Heaven bound
The Bible is a roadmap
And this is what it said
Keep your eyes on Jesus
Heaven’s straight ahead.
I set my GPS for Heaven
My course is set for higher ground

I was living for the moment
Sinful pleasures led my soul astray
I paid no mind to all the road signs
Danger was yonder down the way
I was goin down for the last time
’Til the night I fell on bended knee
Askin’ Jesus for directions
To put my troubled soul at ease.

I set my GPS for Heaven
I once was lost but now I’m found
I was headin down the wrong direction
But now my soul is Heaven bound
The Bible is a roadmap
And this is what it said
Keep your eyes on Jesus
Heaven’s straight ahead.
I set my GPS for Heaven
My course is set for higher ground

Ridin down the highway of destruction
Destination anywhere
A lost and lonely road I was traveling
Rollin down the fast lane to despair
Then Jesus met me at the Detour
He set me on a brand new way
Now my GPS is set for Heaven
And I’ll make it to heaven some sweet day

I set my GPS for Heaven
I once was lost but now I’m found
I was headin down the wrong direction
But now my soul is Heaven bound
The Bible is a roadmap
And this is what it said
Keep your eyes on Jesus
Heaven’s straight ahead.
I set my GPS for Heaven
My course is set for higher ground

Revival time! Nice, nice job, Kevin. See Roy, I thought it would play well just by the way it read. Perfect treatment. I mean set up the tent and bring in the choir. I love this one. Haven't heard everything you've done, but this one might be a candidate for the Roy Harris greatest hits CD.

Well, yeah, I suppose it's not a real big thrill to know you'd sell one copy. LOL. Hey, but you know what I mean. Anyway, I liked it to listen more than once.
