I wrote "Life Goes On" for the Easter scene in my new musical ("1983") but the song can stand alone.

Lyrics:

All things are born and live their lives
They shine in the morning sun
When the evening comes, we say goodbye
And all that has been done is undone

But love never dies, and hope lives on
And Spring keeps comin' 'round again

Chorus:
Life goes on, life goes on, I believe life goes on
Life goes on, life goes on, I believe life goes on

We live our lives in time and space
But neither really exists
There's more going on here than meets the eye
And only the heart can understand

But love never dies, and hope lives on
And life finds a way to renew

Chorus

Well, Clark, this is interesting. I don't hear enough contrast between the verse and the chorus. The bridge seems to be doing it's job, but it ends up being the crescendo when followed by a chorus that reverts to the range of the verse. I suppose, story-wise, it's important to take it in context, because it seems strange without any background to consider, 'time and space, but neither really exists.' Thanks for sharing. Good luck with your project.
