RAINBOW LOVE

Amber Train © 2010

When you appear before me

My entire world changes hue

My life comes sharply focused

Through the prism of you

Your love is a rainbow

Coming throgh on savage storms

A promise of something

A distorted kind of charm

When I try to approach

You withdraw out of reach

Who you are keeps on shifting

You’re bright shades give no heat

Your love is a rainbow

Coming thru on savage storms

A promise of something

A distorted kind of charm

I keep chasing your image

Even though I’ve been told

It’s childish to still believe

I’ll unearth your chest of gold.

Your love is a rainbow

Coming thru on savage storms

A promise of something

A distorted kind of charm

Really like this!  That beauty always intangible, but always real, in the eyes of the beholder. :)  With the power to change our lives and our perspectives!  Cool! :D

I keep chasing your image
Even though I’ve been told

It’s childish to still believe
I’ll unearth your chest of gold.

Hi Amber! First of all, it's really good to see you back and equally as good to see you back on the boards again! Hope your new business venture is doing well and that things have finally settled down a little for you so that you will be able to hang out with us again and have more time to write. :)

Now...about your new lyric. I like it! I think it's very poetic and very well written. I love how you have taken things pertaining to the rainbow and intertwined them in a play on words in the story you're telling us about the way he/she feels about the character in the lyric. Very creatively done. Nice write lady and again, welcome back! :)

Gosh I have missed you guys.  Your support means the world to me and really does encourage me to keep writing.  I'm still practicing my guitar hoping to some day be able to play some of these songs and its coming along slowly but surely.  The new business is going great and I am learning one of the best ways to unwind after a particularly stressful day is to come home and pick up the guitar and focus on some music.

So I truly do hope to be seeing you guys a lot more again.

Cheers :)

Chilled out writing there Amber. I guess your glass is never half empty, just half full.

I want to hear this to music.

Nice to have you around again.

Hi Leigh,

Thanks for taking the time to read through it!  And it's great to be back :)  I'll be checking on you regularly.
