lol   rates??  If anything I'm still trying to pay off some debts.....to you, Sean, Mike M. and Big John.   And why in the hell would you want to work with me...you know I'm bad luck....look how long it took "When I Close My Eyes"  c'mon nowand it only turned out great because you finessed it with your gadgets..(no offense) I've got A LONG WAY to go before I'm a star....but it's my dream....and a dreamer keeps dreamin' ;)

I am really honestly trying to find my own voice right now...what I want to really sing....and I'd like to concentrate more on the music part right now...learning how to get my own melodies on the guitar....it's a real struggle to find time....let alone keep balancing all the lyrics and songs people ask me to help them with....and while most times I say yes to a project...and it turns out great....others I feel pressured by, I hate to let anybody down...or even say no....but I really can't work on this one right now.  I have fooled around with it...and I like the flow..and the feel of it...but the hook leaves me dry...I think there is something bigger there...;)

But you guys work with it!!   There are so many more talented singers on here...that know how to use their voice.....me on the other hand....I'm just learning as I go...and most importantly...I've got freinds like you all that can understand I'm way behind trying to catch up fast....(there's a good line) lol

Sorry, I missed this post.  I'm trying to keep up.

Honestly, you are ultimately going to have to decide what is best for you and your family.  Me, I have already seen the writing on the wall and I believe others have too.  You don't need to find your voice, it's right there in front of you.  You just need to get into a studio and work with a voice coach to harness that great potential.  It wouldn't take you long.

Personally I believe you may be trying to go too many directions at once.  There is no need to worry about doing another song for me or paying me back for that matter.  Just do me a favor and use the talent God gave you and don't waste it.

Amen Mike!

Crystal, The same goes for me. The pleasure was all mine. If you feel the need to pay anyone back, when you hit it big, just remember us poor folks, and cut one of our songs, LOL

I didn't want you all to think I hadn't acknowledged all the kind and supportive words that Mike wrote....I sent him a direct e-mail to thank him.....so I apologize for not publically thanking him....I just didn't want you guys to see me cry....;)

Mike Frisbey and I have been freinds for over a year now....he helped me out with my first song....he offered me a great opportunity to sing on one of his songs...he and I have butted heads....and talked on the phone about the weather...lol   You have been a very dear freind to me Mike.....and because of you I have even met more amazing people....and extended my "songwriting" family...learning lessons from all of you at different times....some have been huge lessons...and one has changed my life....I know where I'm going.....I just need to figure out how to get there....but I know it's around the bend......lol   And the closer I get...the clearer it becomes I'm on my way....without all of your support and love....I'd still be singing in the shower....lol

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin' for
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Look all around, there’s nothin' but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin' but blue skies

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Well, I'm not tall, dark or handsome and the only cold beverage I current have is an iced tea.  I guess that's a real mood killer eh?

75+ degrees here today with clear blue skies though.

Crystal, I certainly never intended to imply anything other than how amazing it was to hear that you are on your way.... with a little help from a friend :D And how cool is that!

Mike- at the end of one wicked week I have not had the chance- but I shall ~early this week ~get my pen and paper and sit out back after work. :Flame This:
I absolutely love the intro .... I know I already said that ... but WOW!
