You may get whacked on this for its fluffiness, but it does hold together well as an idea.  Listeners (pubs, artists, real people (image that) want a little more meat in their three minutes, IMO.  I kind of like it, but it is a little light-natured.

I wouldn't listen much to Jason Blume.  He's more a businessman/marketer than a writer, IMHO.  There're a ton of other real writers out there you can get excellent criticism from.

You're definitely in the ballpark, though, overall.  Keep writing.  :)

Kathy
Love the idea here and the visuals
and I followed along nicely. But I agree
with Bobby about it needing a little more
meat and potatos. I would also try to
improve the hook a little as it is a tad
weak. But of course, this is just my opinion
so keep or sweep my suggestions as I am just
a nobody. I don't personally know Jason,
but I have heard comments on him, some
good and some not so good. I do know he
has some very interesting reading materials
on songwriting. But I have not tried any of
his applications nor heard any of his
critiques. I'm interested to see what he
said about this song ????
Care to share ??? :)

Hi Bobby and Jeff,

I can't figure out how to upload the mp3...my web site doesn't support mp3's yet. Didn't mention meat and pototoes...:)

As soon as I figure out the mp3 thing you all can hear it.

Thanks.....Kathy

Kathy, if you want to, you can open a free site on soundclick, post your mp3's there, and link to it from here.  A lot of us do.  Rather than use the Windows Media Player above, just type

Name of song

and you're good to go.

Bobby, can I post the link on this page or do I have to go to the music site?

If you know it, you post it here.  Otherwise, go to the music site and copy, then paste back here.
