Sean, I like that one though:D  I did a little walking bass line to it and it sounds not so terrible...LOL

There are four different ways that I was playing this thing--probably just trying out different ideas.  James DID play an A#7 part in there at one point in the extended version.

So I guess the basic chords would be simple E, A, B7th WITH the capo on.  The extended would be E, A, A7, B7 with the capo on....or F, A#, A#7, C7 (I believe)

I think the A#7 version with a honking lead guitar part would really be cool.  I'll work on it some more.  I get to have fun with all the toys today!

Mike, I wanted to jam with your rhythm, hope you don't mind. I'm sure Sean could provide a better lead, but I was just pokin' around.

BTW, it is an E and A7 with CAPO 1st fret. Makes it key of F. Those chords would be spelled F, Bb7, C7.

AHH, one of my favorite TV shows. They did a "next generation" thing with his kid and it was really bad!

Hi Gene!:)

In my opinion, you're more than welcome to chime in if you have any words or ideas for the song.  I tried several times last week to record what I have so far and post it, but for some reason I haven't been successful.  I'm also in the middle of trying to complete a couple of songs by next week when I'm going to record them for copyright sake.   I warned Mike before I started, that I'm not able to sit and write as much as I would like:?.  So, not intentionally letting the ball drop, sorry if it appears that way:(

Kim,

It's OK on this end.  Take your time and get the important stuff done and leave this until later.  This is for fun.

Maybe we can come up with some lyrics and then get you to sing it....

Ver 1

The phone woke me up this morning; it was her voice on the line

She said pick me up at five-o clock, and please please be on time

I walked up on her front porch, and knocked on the front door

Her mother said that she was gone, she left about half past four

She knows I love her true ---- why do she do me like she do?

Ver 2

I cleaned up my jalopy, Then picked her up the other night

I took her to a soc-hop; everything seemed to be all right

Then she jumped up on the dance floor, left me standing all alone

And when the dance was over, someone else took her home

She knows I love her true ---- why do she do me like she do?

Thanks you guys.  I wish James and I could have done more stuff together.  I think this actually made it on the blues charts at SoundClick.  I'm not certain how far as I haven't been there since early yesterday.  Thanks again.
