Don,

If the dang thing wasn't all on one track, I could do some editing.  Perhaps we'll have another get together one of these years.

hey here's a few lyrics for you
Mama loved Creole cookin'
Daddy loved dumplin' bread
Not any more or less than
Was just like I said
Mama loved Creole cookin'
Daddy loved dumplin' bread
Well it's a thought
The beat of that's SO COOL
Kinda like a cat on a hot tin roof
Johnny

'Ya know something, James (my friend who is the blues guitarist) was over at the house here the other day and I played it for him.  He doesn't even remember us doing this.  And needless to say he was really surprised when he read all of your nice comments.

He stood there and said, "Really?  You're kidding?"

Again as a lot of you know when you are jamming sometimes you just make stuff up.  Some good, some bad.  I wish we had recorded some of the other sessions we did.

And no there aren't any lyrics to this one because the music was made up on the fly.  I may as stated before, have to make some time to revisit this one and get a better, cleaner recording.

Thanks all.

Would you ever like words to be put to it?  If so, what kind of theme or idea would you have in mind?  I had fun singing along w/it, and wouldn't mind trying to put words to it in the future.

I say go for it Sparky.

Sean said he thought John Lee Hooker should do some vocals.  What do you think?

I was thinkin' more Elvis, but then he doesn't have a guitar on his swiveling hips.  I wonder if I can find a version that has big lips and a tongue half hanging out of his mouth sorta like Mick?

Mike, I'm accepting the challenge, but it may take me a lil bit of time:?.  I usually figure out songs while grocery shopping or in the car to and from work, lol, so I'll have to figure out some way to record the music to take along w/me.  I don't have an mp3 player, but I'll find a way!:D

Well golly, I never expected this to go anywhere.  Maybe we are all so jaded by todays music that hearing something raw, catchy and with a groove can still be accomplished.

Perhaps I should do like MikeM did and instead of "Name That Tune" it should be "Write Those Lyrics"!

Whatcha all think?

(Sean, you're excused 'cause I know you hate to write lyrics:cool:)

Go for it Mike. But from the sound of it, the lyrics should start something like this.....

"Well, I woke up this mornin'.........."

That's just the way I vamp the lyrics to blues riffs when I'm foolin' around.

Well I'm going to wait to hear what Kim comes up with....that girl can sing!  I guess she would have an advantage over everyone (except maybe Sean) in that she can SING it too.

I bet she has been singing lyrics to this thing at the grocery store.:D

Kim,

I know the music will need to be redone.  The changeups are wrong and a bunch of other things.  Perhaps I can lay a groove down and get Sean to do some gutar work as James has not been able to do any recording with me for some time.

If I have time after working on the verses for Jeffs song I'll try and put something together. If someone wants to give me a verse I'll try a crack a some vocals

Brother that is all my music is based on, you couldn't have said it any better. That is the gospel I try to teach.
