So this songs a little different than the last couple I posted here. It's more Rock-n-Roll based with distortion on the guitars. Most of my songs seem to have some sort of life lesson type theme to them but on this one I just wanted to try something different and make it fun. It was fun writing the lyrics on this one. Hope you like.

Hangover Masquerade

It's the way that I feel that you all know.
Minds a scrambled haze.
I've been out too late but it won't show.
Hangover masquerade.

It might take some time but I'll make it.
My eyes swell some times, I even get dizzy I think I'm blacking out now.

Antidote
It's the way that I feel that you don't know.
It's not good, it's not good for me.
Stomach aches right now but I want jo.
To get up to speed.

I might take some time, use a couple drops to white my eyes.
Hell. Sittin down... a strange sensation. I just need some carbonation NOW.
I just don't know why, people seem to think today I'm their guy.
I'll find a stall, then hover over, false alarm this time I'll be okay.

I can't wait to get out of this hell hole.
Hangover masquerade.

It's the way that I feel that you all know.
I can't wait to get out of this hell hole.
Hangover masquerade.

Hey Randy,

Love the killer distortion guitar sound right from the intro! Nice!

When the drums come in though, I'd like to hear a bit more PUNCH! I think you should bring the drums in strong with a Kick/Crash cymbal to begin the main drum beat. Where you start the drums is perfect. The snare and kick drum are hidden in the mix at their present level, though.

Enjoyed it! Rockin' tune, Randy!

-Troy

Loved it. A cool Peppery riff, and I liked the smart "edge" type guitar melody in the background. Way to put those loose brain cells to work. It may have made the night out worth it..............then again, maybe not.

Enjoyable listen.  The music was great and made it a fun song to listen to.

Thanks all. I 100% agree about the drums. I've been trying to figure out how to add stuff like that to the drum loops but so far I haven't been too impressed with what I can do. I think a punch with the drums would be great there though.

C2 - Those nights out are always worth it....or maybe they're never worth it!! If nothing else they helped make a song!! :)

Ho, ho, ho

Hi Randy, a fun listen . About the drums , you can lower the volume on guitar so when the drums kick in they will sound louder, then turn up overall volume.... mixing gives me a headache , ask anyone here LOL.....

Very cool.  You've got a cohesive sound.  The way the acoustic guitar plays against the distorted guitar works perfectly.  Your voice is very well suited for this type of music.

If you want help with the drums I could do it.  As a matter of fact it would be cool if I could mix for you sometime.  Good stuff.

Randy, this is great!!! The distorted guitar sound is great as well! Fun lyric... and at least once in our lifetimes we've probably all experienced the Hangover Masquerade! LOL Love the title/hook and love this first verse as well! That's some some really good writing right there! :D Enjoyed the listen Randy!

Thanks for the tip Arthur, I will definitely try that.
Gary/Sam - Thank you. I'm glad you all enjoyed it. It was really fun working on this and although a hangover isn't an exactly fun/happy exprience, I made the music that way to show that it can't be taken too seriously... Unless of course you have a hangover every day and then that IS a problem. :)
Wave - Thanks for the offer and I may take you up on that sometime. My ultimate goal is to come up with about 12 songs and then scrap the loops and fake instruments and hunt down some real musicians. It think with REAL drums, and all real instruments, all of my songs could be taken up a level.
