This was a blast to do, and I learned some stuff about my drum program too.

Nothin' but fun!

Forever And A Day
Curtis Campbell ©2009

When I was just a young man my mama told me son
Don’t confuse a good girl with the ones you pick for fun
Don’t let ‘em
drive you crazy, just let ‘em have their way
But the one you pick for love son, love forever and a day

My mama was a wise one, no she never told no lie
What she told me way back then, is how I live my life
I never let ‘em drive me crazy, I just let ‘em have their way
But the one I picked for love boy, I’ll love forever and a day

Uh-oh, where it is? Curtis, I gave Troy a yell on it, but bless his heart, I guess he got  tied up at work and hasn't been able to get around to it. But maybe soon.  :)

Hey Curtis,

Love it, man! Nice bluesy feel to this one. Guitar work is tasteful and enjoyable as always, but the drum programming is really soundin' hot on this!

 Keep up the good work!

-Troy

Thanks Troy, and thanks for getting it up for me. I made a forward step in the drum programming. I'm hoping that it keeps getting easier too.:D

You did a nice job of keeping the drums simple up front for the intro and up until mid way through the 1st verse. That's when it kicks into 2nd gear! Nice emphasis at key points in the song too.

Good percussion production decision! .............:)ion!

Curtis this is rocking good!!!! :Guitarman1:I love the music on it, Wow...this some really good stuff. I'm a big drum person, I truly love hearing drum in songs and there is some mighty fine drum sounds going on in this one. Your vocals are sounding good on it too! :D

Thank you Dannette. Lately the songs have been really fun "no pressure" songs written and recorded on a whim. Just a little something to learn more recording techniques. I need to buckle down and write a Christmas song.

Hey Dannette, do you have any recording equipment? Maybe you would consider singing a Christmas song, provided I could write one good enough?

Thanks Red. It's a form of finger picking, since I don't use a pick. But it's really not the fancy form of it like James Taylor or anybody else that knows what they are doing. I guess it could be called "redneck finger picking"....LOL:D

Thank you Roy. "Man With A Plan", now there's your next hook. That could be a good song about Mike too.

Speaking of Mike, has anyone noticed that we are into our second page of new members? Don't you think Mike would be happy with the quality of our new folks?

One of my many "thanks" in the "thanks" portion of Thanksgiving is that we have so many fine new members that seem to fit in really well with our esteemed alumni.:D

Thanks James and John.

Those are EZ Drummer and Sonar. I didn't even look at any tweaking, or even levels. I had an exponential jump in my ability to program drums.:D

Curtis,

Another nice job man. Production sounds great. You'll have to rent a bigger studio and get your back-up singers and your drummer all together someday.

Kevin

Thanks Kev. I've just now been allowed to take down some family photos in the room and put up some music posters. Maybe someday I'll even get to lose the bed.:D
