I agree with Curtis ... now the piano is a bit too loud.  This is the part that kills me all the time in trying to get a final mix.  Plus I go through a ton of CD's as I give each new mix a listen on a number of systems.  Ya think you got it right in the headphones or speakers on your system, then play it somewhere else and it just isn't sitting right.

It does sound better with the piano up, but now it is too up.

Keep at it, James.

Art, you are always willing to do what it takes for the good of the song and I commend you for that. :)

This one is shaping up nicely fellas, but I believe Curtis may be onto something with making a few word changes in this line to make it flow a little smoother when you're singing it.....

I'd really like to tell him to  go to, well
maybe not this  time

But of course you and Barry will have to put your heads together and decide on that part of it. :D

Hey James, you got it , I'll keep after it. I burn a ton of cd's ha ha ha ha thinking the same thing. Another thing I notice after many listens that the chorus is slightly different , so I'm gonna remix that so it's the same and get the volume just right.  oh yeah !     I 'm gonna nail this one soon , I think....

Hey Sara,    I'd really  like to tell him to  go to, well
maybe not this  time

I took out the underlined word on this version.

I like what Curtis has here, we'll see what Barry says

My boss likes to scream and yell
Always riding my back side
Gonna tell him to go straight to well....
Maybe not this time
he's lucky in this day and  age
good jobs are hard to find
I'm just waiting for the day
To say what's on my mind

Or like this , with the I'll tell  this might be a little easier to sing.

My boss likes to scream and yell
Always riding my back side
I'll tell him to go straight to well....
Maybe not this time
he's lucky in this day and  age
good jobs are hard to find
I'm just waiting for the day
To say what's on my mind

Sara did you mention wishy washy once before , it's always fun to get it done right....;)

LOL Art, hope you know the wishy-washy remark I made that time was directed at ME, not you! :) LOL  Because I'm a BIG  'wishy-washy' person when I'm writing a song!  And I agree with ya 100% ...it's always fun to get it done right...even if it means being a little wishy-washy !!! :D

Thinking the last line through a little more. I'm thinking that "I can say what's on my mind" is just fine instead of what I had.

I'm just waiting for the day
I can say what's on my mind

I think it should sing good, and it's the original line anyway.
