Just thought I would post what our praise team recorded Sunday.  Interested to see what the "trained ear" thinks.

You can find it under  my Indie Hitz link, and it's the first song listed.

Crystal, I'll have to leave the 'trained ear' opinions to our "pro's' here, :) but in an unprofessional opinion, it sounds BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Since I was at your site I listened to a few others as well.  I listened to the one you and Danny sang together, 'In My Dreams' ...the one you and Mike co-wrote and Mike sang, 'After The Day I've Had' ....and then the one Mike wrote and you sang, 'When I Close my Eyes.  They are all beautiful songs  and chocked full of precious memories!

Crystal, I had forgotten what a beautiful voice you have! I hope you'll get around to doing some more recordings for us sometimes. :)

P.S. Please tell Granny I say hello!

Sam, thanks so much.  We've been playing together for a couple of years now, and we recorded a whole CD, I'm looking forward to the final product.  It's amazing how much work goes into this.

I'm glad you enjoyed some of the oldies I've collaborated on.  That song that Danny and I sang was one of Red's lyrics, still one of my favorites.  SO much talent here. And I will tell Granny hello!

Dennis, thanks man, I could too!

Rob, thanks buddy, nice to be back.

I have only one trained ear, and it's about worn out, but it liked what it heard. I just love this song, as it was one of my Grandma's favorite. Her other standout favorite became my favorite. It's the wonderful hymn "In The Garden". Written in 1912 by C. Austin Miles. Here is a link to the short story of how he came about writing it in case anyone is interested.

Thank you for sharing this with us. I will be looking for a post from you about the album Crystal.

Does your praise group take requests?:D

C2- what's your real name? I prefer real names....:)

thank you dearly.....

In the Garden is one of my fav's as well!!  So I believe your grandmother and I would have something in common.....I remember singing that at a funeral for a dear lady, (I used to clean her house) but she quickly became my friend.  She heard me singing one day cleaning her toilet, (no joke) and wanted me to sing at her funeral. And I did, though it was hard to keep back the tears.

and, yes, we take requests.....In the Garden perhaps? :)

and as far as the post about the album of Crystal.....well let's just say I decided a while back, that my voice was a gift from above...it came from nowhere else....and I plan on using it only to praise my Father....in heaven...

thanks for the feedback....glad you've got 1 good ear left! lol

nice to meet you, I'm Crystal

My name is Curtis, and I apologize that it doesn't say my name in my profile. I need to make that happen.

That's a wonderful story of how you came to sing "In The Garden" at your friends funeral. I'm sure it was a hard thing to do. I sang my song "Grandma's Song" at her funeral, and had to hide behind some flowers to pull it off without breaking up. I think that song is posted on this site. I would love for you to give it a listen. You can also find it on my soundclick page. The link is in my signature.

Consider "In The Garden" requested then, and nice to meet you too Crystal!

Very nice Crystal, and ofcourse I had to stick around to listen to In My Dreams as well. It's good to see you around here, and as always I could listen to you sing the phone book.

Curtis~ Oh wow....what a beautiful sentimental song that is, I'm sure it made your grandma proud, I can see why that would be so hard to sing on such a day, but what a joy is must have been to know such a woman.  Her life was a testament and it seems it had a profound affect on the man you are now, what a blessing indeed.

I'm assuming that was you singing?  You have a great voice, kinda reminds me of Travis Tritt a bit. (and no i didn't mean to rhyme there, lol)

Red~ hey there buddy!  Man, I sure loved working on that song with you & Danny.  How have you been?

Crystal~

Hey Crystal.  Good to see your smiling face on here again.  Went and listened to your songs and they bring back old memories. Hope things are going well for you.  We sure miss you and all the good times we had.

~Roy- hey there!!  how have you been?  I thought about you the other day, I found that tape where they recorded me singing your song at church....I would love to send it.....but brother the recording is awful...I mean...really bad.  I sure would love to get them to record it again for you.  I'd never send something that bad to you.

love your avatar by the way...it's about time you put your real picture up...;)

Crystal~
