** Please start listing ANY demo studios that you have done business
with, have seen advertised or othewise know of. **

THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT OF ANY STUDIO LISTED

These will be in no particular order.  Try not to duplicate another persons entry or entries.  If you have local studios that also do demos and accept work for hire (even if they don't spend $'s on Internet advertsing) then go ahead and list them here.  Feel free to list as many that you have data on.

Studios in your list should contain the following:
1) Mailing Address
2) Phone Number
3) Contact Person
4) Website Address if any
5) Pricing schedule if available (US Dollars)
6) Music genre supported

This will be the beginning of a compiled spreadsheet list that will be used for a future project that is being blueprinted.  I'm not at liberty to discuss it at this time but know that all songwirters will benefit.  Thank you in advance for your participation as this will be ongoing for awhile.

I work with a local Studio, http://www.sweetcreekstudios.com, the engineer that runs the studio has many years in the recording business. I also work with a local studio musician, http://www.kurtjohnston.com. He has been a professional musician since the early 70s. He has recorded with Jon Bon Jovi on some of Bon Jovi’s CDs, and recently appeared on the CMT Crossroads show starring Bon Jovi & Sugarland. Bon Jovi also asked him to play on the 2005 CMA awards in NYC. He is adept at many genres including country, pop, and rock. He is very talented on guitar, keyboards, banjo, dobro, mandolin, pedal steel, and vocals.

I have negotiated with these guys to start a songwriting demo service. I will have details at http://www.mjmmusicgroup.com . My recent move has kept me from finalizing the website.

We are songwriters, not a demo mill cranking out hundreds of demos with the same tired melodies. Pricing will be posted soon, but I hope to keep it reasonable. I will have per song pricing as a work for hire, with you providing the melody/chord changes. I will also have a lower price for lyricists where I will develop the melody/chords and work with you on a co-write basis. Either way, I will communicate with the songwriter making sure we provide the sound you are looking for on your demo.

I would like to give my personal endorsement for Jackie Cook at the Song Cellar.  I sent him a work CD for him to demo and received the completed demo back exactly 22 days after I mailed it in.  Allowing for three to five days delivery each way, that means he completed the demo in less than two weeks.  He advertises it will take from two to six weeks, depending on number of sessions he has scheduled.  I just think he is a real pro who knows what they are doing and he uses excellent demo singers to match the music tracks.  While his prices may seem steep to some, when you compare it to other similar studios in Nashville, he falls in the ballpark.  I would rather pay a little more and be completely satisfied than to go the cheaper route and not be satisfied.  If you have a song that you want to give your best shot, I think he might just be able to do it for you.  You can listen to the demo by going to the Music Data Base, The Road That Leads Back Home.

John Johnson is playing the piano on my song "Eugene" under Country Music . Check him out at http://www.mysongdemo.com . He has a small , well equipped studio in Covington , Ga.  He is very talented and specializes in helping songwriters . He has a strong background in gospel music but works with other genres too . Very reasonable prices .

Paramount

Had my first demo done by them.  It came out really good, but they get such a bad wrap from other songwriters.  I think because they claim to pitch your song to the Music Industry and have you sign a contract to pay them 5% of your royalties, which would be alright with me if they did pitch the song.  I have been pitching it myself, though.  Let you know what happens.

I'd like to give a good recommendation for Magic Shack
Demos in Nashville TN

http://www.magicshackdemos.com/

This studio is owned by Jason Roller who plays
guitar for Kelly Pickler. I have used him twice
in the past with positive results.

I've also used Song Cellar and Writers Paradise
the only nit I had with Paradise was the time
it took me to get back the demo (6-weeks).
Everybody else was between 2-4 weeks :)

Most of you have listened to some of the demos that Kevin Wicker has done for me.  Here is a link to his website if anyone is interested in a good quality demo.  For samples of his work, click on one of the links in my signature.

Roy,

I sent Kevin an email a week or so ago inquiring about pricing and such, I even dropped your name, and told him I had heard his work through you here at TSF. I haven't heard back from him yet. I was just thinking that I sent it to him at work and they may have sent him to my spam folder. I'll check tomorrow.

Barry, I contacted Kevin and he said he never got your email or he would have called you.  He don't turn down promising work.  lol.  Anyway, he has joined our forum because I've got a PM waiting for me to read and I gave him your moniker, so I'm sure he'll be in touch.

I forgot to mention one other thing.  Kevin can work from lyrics only, so all you lyric writers who can't play a lick (like me) Kevin says he can write melodies in his sleep.  Just send him your lyrics and tell him what you want it sound like, and he'll take it from there.
