I had a great telephone chat last night with Sara Bloodworth.  If I feel up to it, would any of you others like me to do a few more?  I have to keep my phone coversatioms somewhat short as I tire quickly but I could try.  What do you think?

I would love it.  What is the best time to call you (your time).  I have your phone number.

Roy, due to time differences and everything going on, later afteroon West Coast is best here.  The best thing to do is to shoot me a PM.  If I don't respond.....don't call.

Relatives arriving today too, but that is OK.

I enjoyed it as well, Mike. I hope we can do it again sometimes!  I still had plenty more questions I wanted to ask you about the forum and how it has evolved over the years and we were just getting started when the battery in my phone played out!!! Boy, was I upset! LOL But, maybe one day after the others have had a turn ...and you feel up to it...we can pick up where we left off!

Sara

MIke I think you have my number, if not PM me and I'll give it to you. I'm home all the time...lol... and if you'd like to call sometime you feel free to do so buddy! I'd enjoy that. The reason I say to call me is, that way you can call when it's convenient for you.

Big John

You might consider using Skype software. Its free to buy and free to use. Lets you multi-conference too if you want to.

Thanks Owen.  I use Vonage as my VOIP for the office line.
http://www.vonage.com  It's $24.99 per month unlimited.  I have explored the Skype but don't know what monthly fixed costs would be, if there are any, taxes, etc.  This so far works for me.

Now before you all run out there and jump on the VOIP bandwagon, there are few things to consider.  First, you must already have a high-speed Internet connection.  Secondly, if you lose your Internet connection due to an outage, lines down, weather or you didn't pay the bill, you will lose your phone connection.  There are some pluses and minuses with the various services.  But hey, if you got that big fat broadband burning up cyberspace, you might as well save some money on your phone bill too.  I saved 50% on the home line.  If I had kept all the office lines running, I saved over $260 mo on office alone.

Hi Mike,

I hope you had a good day.

I would love to have a quick chat when you are able. Megan says she would like to speak to you too, so she can thank you personally for the website. She told me she prays for you every night.

We'll have to try a PM Sunday afternoon.

Great, now do me a favor will ya?  Sing your own little rendition of "This Little Light of Mine"  and post it for Open Mic.

It was a pleasure talking with you, Mike! Great to hear your voice for the first time!

I'm glad you are getting to work with James on “Wide Open Spaces”. I look forward to hearing the harmonica track add to the song! I appreciate your suggestions for online collaboration and general songwriting and will have to look into that http://www.yousendit.com website.

I only wish Megan was home with me so she would have had the chance to thank you personally for the work on her new website. I hope you feel better in the coming days.

-Troy
