I wouldn't normally post a song for someone who doesn't belong to this forum, but, I am playing bass guitar and did do the drum programming (Beta Monkey loops) on this song, plus helped with advice on the production as it went along (somewhat) so I think it should be okay to post.

This is by a bud of mine I met on another forum who goes by the name "maceman".  He does more of a folk style on most of his tunes.  I help him out with drums and background vocals (even did lead vocals on a couple of his tunes) when he asks.

He's a great guy and I think this song and the video is great.  I was going to post it in the country section but maybe it fits best here.  Give it a listen/watch I think you'll enjoy it.

Thanks all, James.

Thanks Brenda, I'll tell him.  The video was put together by the sax player in the video.  Maceman sent him some clips he did, Bill had some and then some public domain stuff.  The song has Bill playing sax, another forum guy (from another forum I belong to) playing key's, me on bass and drum loops and Matt (maceman) doing the rest.

I'm sure Matt will be pleased you enjoyed it.

James.

Here in south Florida I suppose due to the warm weather we seem to have an abundance of homeless folks here. When ever I hear someone complaining about the high population of homeless, I remind them that we are all just a few strange twists of fate from trading places with them.

I try to help them when I can, some want a different life, and to some it's just a way of life they have come to accept. One guy I met has an engineering degree, but only wants to do day labor for drinking money. Everyone I've talked to has a different story, but to me they are all sad.

I enjoyed the song

You just never know when your gonna hit hard times.....most of us are a few paychecks away from being in the same situation.   This song was just beautiful....that guys voice was amazing!  I can't even sing that high...

The video was real hard to watch....it's funny Red mentioned the homeless in FL, I remember a teenager going on a youth trip to FL to work in a homeless shelter, and it was a moment that impacted my life for ever, there is never a time when I don't keep these people mindful in my prayers.

Thanks James for sharing...your buddy did a great job on that sax btw...and your help made this song something I truly enjoyed...thanks again...

Hey thanks all for the comments on Matt's song and video.  I've been passing the comments along to him and he is really glad that you guy's are enjoying the song and getting some good emotion out of it.

I should have told you that he actually has this on a CD he has just finished up.  He has it on CD Baby.  I think it is the first song.  He has some other good tunes on there and you'll even hear me doing some lead vocal work on one or two of the songs for him.  I just sent him the tracks and he mixed it to his style.

Here is the link to his CD if your interested.

Thanks again all.  I like to try and do a thank you to each poster, but I've got to go cut the grass and then get back to working on a couple tunes to keep the music flowing;)

James.

James, buddy! I enjoyed the video a lot!! Nice production. Loved the tune! Vocals very well done too! I loved the hammond and the sax solo - well played and fits right in! You did a great job on harmonies as well.
