Definately a good song in the works here, The chorus seems solid. Maybe this could become a duet. Think Gretchen Wilson 1st verse and chorus, and Big or Rich 2nd verse and chorus, then both on the final chorus maybe. Just a thought, good luck with it.

Just some thoughts......... as always keep em or sweep em
I tell my friends I've been waiting
and I've been holding out
I want that fairy tale ending
that's what life is all about
The men I've met have turned to toads
I need that Cinderella kiss
I want a man who understands
Lord where is my sweet prince

Dunno if this is pushin' it............. .......but here goes..........
Bonafide Redneck
(female vocal )
I tell my friends I've been waiting
That I've been holding out
I gotta have the fairy tale
That's what love is all about
All my men have turned to toads
But I want that Cinderella story
I need a man who understands
I demand love in all it's glory
(lift)
But destiny ain't abandoned me cold
I know there's a man who fits the mold
(male vocal )
I'll ride in on eight huge studs
Headlights blazin' on my Silverado
Radio blarin' with the good ole boys
A modern day desperado
The bad-boy southern smile on my face
Will leave no doubt what's on my mind
When this bonafide redneck brands your soul
You'll leave your prince behind.
(female vocal)
You're not kind of man I had in mind
With that Stetson, boots and jeans
Exactly how much could a redneck know
When it comes to romantic things?
(lift)
Mama said watch for trouble like you
Cause men like you jus' can't be true........
(instrumental bridge)
(male vocal)
It's true we like to raise some hell
And God knows I've done my share
But when it comes to lovin' girl
Those city boys can't compare
They may have gone to ivy-league schools
And learned to make lots of cash
But let a bonafide redneck steal your heart
An' you'll tell 'em to kiss your ***

Lissa,
This is awesome. When you get her all polished up, she's gonna be a beauty.
Hang in there - the writer's block will pass. Smile, and breathe.

Miss Lissa,
Have you heard Gunpowder and Lead? That's the feel I get with this one. Smooth with an edge in the verse, kickin' booty in the chorus. Check it out, you'll see what I mean.
