Rob, yeah I kind of had a setback having to go to the dentist. I'm pretty good now, not too sore.
I recorded some crowd sounds at the beginning, pretty funny considering it is me. It needed just a little something with that long lead-in. Working on getting the right break for the bridge and a changeup in melody for that part.
Vlad said that he would do the harmony vocals for the refrain/chorus as soon as I get the music done correctly. I also need to refine that refrain (LOL!)

Actually it's coming along nicely... like the idea of the crowd sounds too. Looking forward to Vlad's chorus... I've listened too his songs. I think the contrast between singing styles is going to work well. Last edited on Thu Jan 24th, 2008 12:33 pm by SongWriter2947

PSSTT......Vlad....don't tell anybody but I used to be a very, very bg UFO buff. I go all the way back to the early Project Bluebook stuff.....yep even saw a UFO when I was little and a formation of several when I was in high school. The one when I was little scared the crap out of me....just another story for another time.
Rob started me going again and Rick Terry reminded me of a couple of things I read once when he used the term "demons in my head" in some lyrics suggestions. The lyrics in the bridge are concocted from an actual case file. The "never said goodbye" and "I don't believe I even (ever) caught their name" were direct quotes from an abductee and the "repressed memories burned into my brain" are from that therapy session with the abductee. I thought maybe I would throw those in for the paranoid UFO crowd. Yeah I know it's kind of deep, but just about any UFO nut will get it and that might be enough to get this thing in a movie. No, I'm not nuts, but I do play one from time to time.
Still working on the music...just haven't had time. I have to see how the song times out in order to know whether to use the bridge as a third verse and then maybe another bridge. Seeing as I recorded small snippets of instruments and then made loops out of them and then added some other recorded loops it is difficult to control everything like it would be playing it all from scratch. I did throw some male/female vocal harmonies in there on the refrain though to reflect the new lyrics. So many projects to do.

Yes, I recognized some of what I saw in the lyric, I mean from interviews I'd previously read. Good to keep it in line with the historical sources as possible.

No argument here Mike! There's no telling what's lurking in that cerebral cortex!

We'll just keep getting creative with this one for awhile. Perhaps we will have enough to eventually write a really bad "B" movie around it. LOL!
I have an alien emoticon, just don't remember where he is hiding.

This thing takes awhile to load....so not recommended for low bandwidth or dial-up.
Mike is this song supposed to be the link you posted? If so I can't find it.

Uh, no. It's the premier of UFO Hunters on the SciFi Channel, not the music to the song. I wish.

Yeah, Bro. when I realised which site I was on, I thought OMGarsh! Mikey has hit the Big time! Oh well. maybe after they hear about it they'll put it on one of their movies. We'll just have to talk to some of them thar alienators and see if they'll implant that song into some reproducers ber-rain! They might clone-a-tune by reverse prognosis!
