I thought that would get your attention.  A little song idea that got inspiration from that UFO Jeff saw.

UFO (Visions in the Night Sky)
© 2008  Mike Frisbey / Rob Young / Vlad Pogrebinski / Rick Terry

All subject to change.  Lyrics started just tonight thanks to Rob.  I placed a small vocal track on this to see how it sounds.  Not sure yet so anything is possible.  Music may not follow lyris until we get them refined.

UFO (Visions in the Night Sky)
© 2008  Mike Frisbey / Rob Young / Vlad Pogrebinski / Rick Terry

(v1)
Outside the city limit, past clover fields of red
there in the twilight something up ahead
Can’t be the whiskey, I ain’t touched a drop all night
but man I ain't never ever seen me such a sight

(refrain/chorus)
Visions in the night sky
come and have a good time
Will leave you wondering why
them visions in the night sky

(v2)
That thing got motion and twisted off the ground
Defying gravity and left without a sound
I rubbed my eyes, can’t remember much at all
Who would believe me if I told them what I saw

(refrain/chorus)
Visions in the night sky
never said goodbye
Will leave you wondering why
them visions in the night sky

(bridge)
This room is spinning
there’s demons in my head
I pull the covers up
trembling in my bed

I don’t believe that I
even caught their name
Just repressed memories
burned here in my brain

(refrain/chorus)
Visions in the night sky
never said goodbye
Will leave you wondering why
them visions in the night sky

Mike that is so cool!!! Did you use your yamaha or is canned loops? Good job. I would turn that one into a song.

Rob, I did the drums on the Yamaha drumset.  The presets on some of the kits in that thing are really close to ones in the Keyboard, but I get to play them manually with sticks and everything.  LOL!

I decided to go ahead and use MixCraft on this one just in case Rick or somebody else wanted to get involved as I believe several have purchased it or downloaded it.

I downloaded a few more sound effects and then used that at the beginning.  I need to pan those for effect....this is just the first take or two.  I went ahead and used a couple of loops from MixCraft and tweaked them including that slap bass.  I actually have the strings from the Yamaha already done but just left the MC loop in for now.  After laying the drum track I converted it to a loop and there 'ya go.

It's just a beginning.  I seem to have lots of those laying around.  :D

That's great Mike, could open up a whole new genre of UFO inspired music. Alien jazz or something like that. No wait, Teresstrial Jazz, what do ya think? By the way I think the spell check is broke every way I tried to spell terestrial, it was ok with it.

LOL!  Just a lot of fun.

Yeah spell check isn't perfect and sometimes not even accurate at all, but at least it works sometimes.  ;)

Rob, did a remix, extended the song to 2mins, panned the UFO, added a little Rhodes piano towards the end and ping ponged the drums back and forth between channels.  Put your headphones on and let me know how you like this one.  Some people may not like a wall of sound and instruments but I think it works on this one.  I might even get a little creative in the middle when the mood strikes me. :D

That was killer!!! I love that outside the box creativity..

Maybe some lyrics...

Outside the city limits, beyond the cornfields
up in the pitch Dark night, theres something not real
might be my eyes or something tricking my sight
but I ain't never in my life seen such a light

This thing is in motion but I can't hear a sound
moving in directions that defy gravity and ground
makes any man question wheter he is sane at all
no one will beleive if I told'em what I saw

Boy that's a great little piece! I love it! Beautiful texture and riffs!

Mike, are you planning on leaving it as is or you're looking to make a song out of it? That certainly got my creative juices flowing... or is it reserved for Rick & Barry only?:)

Vlad, heck no....I like it when people get involved.

I'm just now working on the music and can do the whole thing over from scratch if need be so no worries.

I might dial up that old blues man and try Rob's lyrics (if I can sing it)  LOL!

I think Dr. John was in my head when I wrote that. LOL!

May you can come up with a little short catchy chorus.  Something that repeats. I think Vlad wants to jump in too...this will be fun!

Mike how about this....

Chorus

Unidentfied flying objects
Flying everywhere
Unidentfied flying objects
Quick, Look, I see one over there

Why in the world would they be flying in my town
how come they show up when no else is around
I don't like the feel of this, is it me they've come to see
I wonder if they can find me if I hide beneath this tree

I thought this only happened in movies and Magazines
or in the middle of the night in someones darkess dreams
is there anyone out there, please come and rescue me
I'm paralized in fright here until you set me free

Chorus

Unidentfied flying objects
Flying everywhere
Unidentfied flying objects
Quick, Look, I see one over there

OK, let me get a chance to try and sing something and we'll go from there.  The music just repeats as I never changed keys so something repetitive should work.  Probably doesn't need too many words on this one.  LOL!!  Good job so far.

OK...back to working on the music for me.  Headphones ready?

Rob, try this.  I'm trying out this meter in the song now.

Outside the city limits, beyond the fields of red
up in the pitch dark night, there’s something up ahead
might be my eyes or maybe that whiskey wasn’t right
but I ain't never in my life seen me such a light
