Beautiful Bundled Baby Jesus

Beautiful bundled baby Jesus
Born on Christmas day
Oblivious to the sacrifice
That would be Yours someday

For God our Father loves each one of us
He whispers in our ear
‘Leave behind that, which is frivolous’
‘Believe that I will reappear’

Beautiful bundled baby Jesus
Born to walk the hardest road
Your life you gave so unselfishly
To cleanse our hearts and make us whole

Though we celebrate this day
That signifies your birth
Remind us each in your own way
The love you shared while on this earth

Dear God in Heaven loved us so
He gave his Only Son
That we may learn to forgive our foe
Prepare our hearts for His return

Beautiful bundled baby Jesus
This day we celebrate
That which you have instilled in us
God’s unending love you cultivate

Beautiful bundled baby Jesus
A boy child born so long ago
You cleanse and captivate our hearts
Our greatest thanks we do bestow.

A poem by Marlene Eickmeier.

Thanks~ I have to say it is a tiny bit unusual for me to write so candidly about our Christmas season- I wrote that for my mom (for her card) and as a newbie on this site was anxious to share something new.
Merry Christmas everyone :)

Marlene,

Great poem with a real message for this time of the year and actually throughout the year.

Isn't it nice to be able to have a place to post stuff in appropriate areas?  You don't have to wade through reams of off topic or different genre's to read or post what you want.

It's beautiful but, it would be a singer and engineers nightmare with all of  the "B's". "B's" and "P's" are tough on mics. It wouldn't be to bad in the syudio but live it would be kind of tough.
