Rick I'm not for sure on this but I'm thinkin with them glasses he might look like Buddy Holly
Now you done it Bro.  Mike will have such a fat head for a week his picture won't even fit on my monitor!  I was kind of thinking Roy Orbinson! Or maybe a school teacher I had back in the sixties.  Hee, hee, hee.  Put a Christmas wreath behind him, he might pass for Poindexter, on Felix the cat cartoons, Christmas edition! Sorry Mike that was uncalled for.  Hee, hee, hee.
The very idea of you with those glasses on, Weely Qwax Me Up!!

OMG...did this bring back a lot of memories! My mama was an Elvis fan, so we listened to his music all the time. Before I went overseas in 1975, my birthday present to my mama was tickets to a concert of his in Cleveland. It was just the 2 of us...and an arena of other folks...and is still one of my fondest memories. I wore my dress blues because Mama was convinced that, if I was in uniform, she'd get to meet Elvis! Didn't work...lol. Also, this song was always on the jukebox at the EM club around the holidays. Someone would always play it; we'd all sit around, get drunk, and cry in our beer because we were overseas at Christmas time. Thanks, Mike! You did a great job with it!

This sounds better this year than it did last year.  The message is still true at the end though Mike.  From my family to yours.  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Mike, this was lovely! Just for clarification (sometimes I'm a bit dim:? ), was that you singing? If so, WOW! :D   (And if not, still a great song!;) )

Yes it is all me singing.  It took about an hour or so of practice to get my voice into what I felt was a reasonable sounding Elvis style.  I was not looking to try to imitate the man, just sound enough like him to pull the song off.

Glad you liked,

-Mike

Funny how this one popped up again, I was thinking about it just this morning!

Of course, needless to say, I had to take another listen....and Mike you may not have been trying to imitate Elvis, but you sound exactly like him in this song!!! Even Donna couldn't tell the difference!!! LOL

Oh... and I don't think I've ever said anything about the message at the end...Merry Christmas to you too!!!
