Hi all,

Was messing around with tuning the guitar string down to C with the rest in normal tuning and came up with this song. Feedback is most welcome:

https://soundcloud.com/jonathan-linton-3/ease-your-mind

LYRICS:
It’s a stupid world
Full of stupid people
Who won’t conform
To my numbin’ controls
Shout and scream
To keep ‘em line
I’d stab them in the back
If they had a spine

Sinkin’ down’s
Quite revealin’
Spirit’s drowned
Such a great feelin’
Great feelin’

Don’t you worry
Those annoyin’ people
Have come and gone
So just ease your mind
Don’t you hurry
They’re just weak and feeble
Can’t take the fall
So just ease your mind
Ease your mind

What’s the problem?
You got what you wanted
No stupid souls
No outa controls
Wait, I get it
You need someone
To stab them in the back
But now they’re all gone

Sinkin’ down’s
Quite revealin’
Spirit’s drowned
Such a great feelin’
Great feelin’

Don’t you worry
Those annoyin’ people
Have come and gone
So just ease your mind
Don’t you hurry
They’re just weak and feeble
Can’t take the fall
So just ease your mind
Ease your mind
Mmm, just ease you mind
Mmm, just ease you mind

SOLO

Don’t you worry
Those annoyin’ people
Have come and gone
So just ease your mind
Don’t you hurry
They’re just weak and feeble
Can’t take the fall
So just ease your mind
Ease your mind
Ease your mind

Ease your mind…

Excellent Jon. This is you doing what you do so well. Not really sure what the message is here but it comes over strong nonetheless. Release an album mate and I'd buy it. This is good music:)

Wow - and I thought I could get sarcastic! Great guitar textures and production all around - vocal cuts nicely through the dense arrangement. Nice engineering chops. So I went on to listen to a couple others - "Seeing Blind", "All The Time" - really excellent stuff!

Hola Joplin

It is the first song I hear today and I loved it, it has ferza, it is very well assembled, the mix is great and the instrumentation is ideal, the voices sound great and the lyrics are raw and real like life itself. Let's reassure ourselves
I liked it a lot

Merry Christmas

Mora

A very solid music production. Love the guitar solo - a bit short, but powerful!!!If I were to be critical I'd say the volume of the vocal should be increased just above the guitars. Other than that this is very good!!!!

Really enjoy the guitar work. Strong presentation.

Jonlint,

Wow, I wasn't quite expecting that . . . but very, very cool hard rock tune. Man, what a terrific rock vocal you have going on here. From a production standpoint, perhaps consider going a bit more musically stripped in the verses, particularly that second verse coming off the first chorus--almost like you do in the bridge like "ease your mind" just before the solo. Just to give the listener a break from the intensity of that killer chorus.

Very impressive offering. Use or lose my suggestions as you see fit. (And, oh, love what you did with that vocal at the end, nice EQ'ing to give a cool feel on the close).

All my best to you,

Deej
