Written by me
Vocal & production
Mike Zaneski

Kerry Moon

With many roads behind me
soon be travelling on
The magic and wanderlust
Slowly faded now its gone
V
often thought about us
dreamed i'd come back soon
To our simple little cottage
lit up by a Kerry moon
B
Nothing left to search for
only what could now be
You and i neath a Kerry moon
If you'll remember me

Music

V
I recall before I left you
you Sang a sweet Irish tune
Was in my heart through dark times
missed you and our Kerry moon

Repeat bridge

Verse 2

Kerry Moon till fade

Got the Mike Z stamp of quality all over it! Top notch production.

Would you mind posting the lyrics here? Makes it much easier to follow and comment on those.

The whole song rolls along sweetly, with semi folk feel which is very appropriate.

Very relaxing and enjoyable.

I'm not sure what a Kerry moon is but your song made it sound real. Nice production. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Couple of observations:

What is a Kerry moon... Needs to be explained.

"(I'll) soon be travellin' on"
"Slowly faded (and) now it's gone"

Joe
A Kerry Moon is like the Carolina Moon and those others that you hear about.
I think it's a matter of where you live,I was in Hartlepool yesterday,I won't bother writing that one lol
Thanks for the listen and your suggestions, much appreciated
Regards
JRC

I miss the pronouns that create the Singer-Character and give s strong sense of someone 'in' the Song, telling their story.

"Kerry Moon" copyright (Date?) by Richard Cliff.

(Verse I)
With many roads behind me
(I'll) soon be travelling on
The magic and wanderlust ('my' wanderlust, would let him 'own' it.)
slowly faded. Now it's gone

(Verse II)
(I) often thought about us, (pronouns)
dreamed I'd come back soon,
to our simple little cottage,
lit up by a Kerry Moon. (or just "lit by a Kerry Moon.)

(Bridge)
Nothing left to search for,
only what could now be;
You and I 'neath a Kerry moon (There are the pronouns!)
if you'll remember me

(Instrumental Bridge)

(Verse III)
I recall before I left you, (Pronouns!)
you sang a sweet Irish tune.
Was in my heart through dark times ('t'was)
(I) missed you and our Kerry moon

Repeat bridge

Verse II
Coda
Kerry Moon till fade

ANOTHER EDIT:
"Kerry Moon" copyright by Richard Cliff.

(Verse I)
The magic of my wanderlust
slowly faded. Now its gone.
With many roads behind me,
I'll soon be traveling on.

(Verse II)
I often thought about us,
dreamed I'd come back soon,
to our simple little cottage,
lit by a Kerry Moon.

(Bridge)

only what could now be.
You and I 'neath a Kerry moon,
if you remember me

(Instrumental Bridge)

(Verse III)
I recall before I left you
you sang an Irish tune.
T'was in my heart through dark times.
I missed our Kerry Moon

(Repeat bridge)
There's nothing left to search for;
only what could now be.
You and I 'neath a Kerry moon,
if you remember me

(Repeat Verse II)
I often thought about us
dreamed I'd come back soon
To our simple little cottage
lit by a Kerry Moon

(Coda)
Kerry Moon (till fade)
