(Chorus 1)
On my own I’ll be staying in bed all day long
Waiting for a sign, for a star to shine from afar
I’ll be the moon by its side
Be your light in the dark tonight
Oh my six feet love
This is our time
Give me a sign

(Verse 1)
I don’t know what to do without you, dear
Without you near, right by my side
Days keep piling up, I wonder when
I’ll see your smile from ear to ear again

Just like we always used to do
And we deserve, to do it more
Just like you always used to say
After the storm, the sun will shine again

(Pre-chorus)
Beyond all this rain, I can see a different weather
Beyond all this pain, I know we’ll write a hopeful letter
Because even if the world was ending
We would make it end much better
Much better
Much better

(Chorus 2)
On my own I won’t be staying anymore
Waiting for a sign, for a star to shine from afar
I’ll be the moon by your side
Be your light in the dark tonight
Oh my six feet love
This is our time
Give me a sign

(Verse 2)
I don’t know what to do without you here
We used to be united always
But over all these physical, material things
We’re discovering something so deep

(Pre-chorus)
Beyond all this rain, I can see a different weather
Beyond all this pain, I know we’ll write a hopeful letter
Because even if the world was ending
We would make it end much better
Much better
Much better

(Chorus 3)
On my own I won’t be staying anymore
Waiting for a sign, for a star to shine from afar
I’ll be the moon by your side
Be your light in the dark tonight
Oh my six feet love

On my own I won’t be staying anymore
Waiting for a sign, for a star to shine from afar
I’ll be the moon by your side
Be your light in the dark tonight
Oh my six feet love
This is our time
This is our sign

I really like the overall style and sound you have in this song. It feels fresh and joyful and full of energy and suits the lyric well.

Not sure the initial 'city soundscape' intro is meaningful to the song, if it was, it would lead into the song rather than dropping away beforehand. But it's only a few seconds.

I do like how it starts with synth only then builds up, but I think you should bring the percussion in earlier: at the start of V1 feels the natural point. You can keep things dynamic throughout by dropping back, as well as building up the sound - which you already do in parts. It feels a bit thin without the percussion. There's such a strong rhythm to it that percussion works really well.

I would also look to do more with the percussion: both with additional sounds (hi hat / cymbal equivalents in whatever kit you are using) and more complex patterns. Again that might build / change over the song. You do some of that already but for me it felt repetitive in too many sections.

You have a good vocalist, I like the sound of her voice and it suits the song. It looks like she wrote the lyric and melody so no surprise that it fits her voice beautifully. The octave jumps are nice.

"Six feet love" is a memorable hook, and fitting for these strange times! It's a little unfortunate that it brings to mind (for me) the expression "six feet under" meaning "in a grave" which is not a good fit for this song, but I can't see much you can do about that.

The rest of the lyric is fine, but it seems fairly typical romance stuff. The "six feet love" phrase is what makes it stand out.

I think you have a good song, which with some polish could become a great song.

I think this track is great. I don't know much about video production so I'm listening to this as a musician and I'm loving it. It's created in a way which is totally different to what I do but I have nothing but respect because it's really well crafted. I look forward to hearing more.:)

Wow, thank you so much for your insightful comment RainyDayMan! Very in-depth, and helpful indeed! I'll try to utilise what you have shared and improve on things, especially with adding more to the percussion. Might release that version as a special remix in the future. Once again thank you for your detailed comment!

Alto, have you tried arpeggiating the chords in that first chorus (or at least some of them)? Might provide some extra variation over the straight chords.

Nope, that didn't come to mind as I was in the creative process. Thanks for highlighting that! Will keep this in mind when I revisit the song as a potential remix. 😁
