So anybody out there get any cool gear, software, or instruments for Christmas past that they are just now trying out?
I normally check out the local pawn shops and music shops on a regular basis but since the arrival of Covid I haven't been to any of them in close to a year now....and who know's what deals I've missed out on.
Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there for something to talk about.
Take care all!

A few Christmas' back I got myself a bass guitar from a pawn shop. My second eldest daughter saw it and pestered me to use it and learn to play. So I didn't see it for the next few years. Cheeky sod has now traded me back the bass guitar for an epiphone studio.

My wife got me a Fender Mustang LT50 amp. I'm still figuring out all the tones and amps this thing has built into it, but it's pretty sweet!

I picked up a new tuner for the guitar - the kind that clamps on to the headstock. Works well. Not earth shattering, but I like it
I love my snark. I can kind of tell when my guitar sounds off, but I couldn't tune it without my Snark.
New gear in our house since Christmas. My husband bought a new Soundcraft signature 16 mulitrack mixer, a bunch of deal of the day cables, Sennheiser e609 guitar mic, and a Seismic Audio 100 foot snake 16 sends 4 returns (not for me, for my son, haha). I did get some Tascam Th200x studio headphones (I haven't used them yet 😢).
We also bought a new/used Mac computer so we could get Logic pro. The old Mac was from 2009 🤣
FYI, my husband is in an equipment buying mode. Help 😜

Yeah that's some serious buying!
Just for the record, almost all of it was bought used off Facebook. My husband keeps a keen out for a good deal. My headphones were new - deal of the day during Christmas

Those Musicians Friend Stupid Deals of the Day are freakin' awesome! I buy quite a bit of stuff from them. They've been on a kick with Martin Guitars lately, though. That isn't in my current budget haha

My wife got me a Maya guitar from a charity shop. £50 with a case. You can hear it on all the recordings I have posted thus far. It is a Japanese Les Paul rip off, but a chunky guitar, and does the job. I believe the factory was destroyed in an earthquake back in the 80's. Info on the guitar has been hard to find.

I am tuned in to this website too. I would love a Martin, but am not looking to spend that dough either
