Perfectly understandable!  Well, at least you can write great songs and record your own awesome demos without spending a fortune!!!

I really like what you've done here Danny.  Rare subject matter, draws much attention to a heartbreaking social breakdown, at the same time conveys a great sense of respectabiliy to our wonderful senior citizens.  Certainly appreciated here.  Loved the vocal on it too. Who was that masked man? How would a person go about hiring that guy for a demo?  :D  Thanks Bro. you've got to have a great heart to write something like this. :D  Like I said before,  Hey, I'm your Fan! :D

Rick,
Pssst.  Don't repeat this too loudly, but my friends all get extreme discounts on demos.  The only cost is a good bg track - ready for vocals, patience, and continued friendship and ego boosts (ahem....really tryin to say: free).  Shhhhh.

Serioiusly - anytime, bro.  Music is my real challenge, and lyrics, and other stuff, but if you can get me a track, I'll by-golly sing to it.

I appreciate your kind words, and the vote of confidence, but I think I'll probably just keep doing it for fun.  I wouldn't shut the door on opportunity mind you, but I just couldn't run around trying to find it with mouths to feed at home.

Danny,

If your life hadn't happened
you may have been a star
with miles of ashphalt underneath
your bus truck or car
Now it's brownies scouts and soccer games
and the love of the purest heart
Theres just nothing sweeter than a child
even if you're king of the gutair.

And yet I keep seeing pretty good stuff falling out of your head Terry. How do you explain that?

Barry,

That's real nice of you to say.  Especially in a such a good verse.

That little girl scout/cheerleader/gymnast/eventual heart breaker I've got is the apple of my eye.  I'd cut off both arms and sell 'em both for seven cents a pound if her happiness came down to needin' a quater.  Hope it doesn't, but I would.

BTW, I was in the deer stand the last couple of days, so I've got a couple to work on.  Anyone looking for a collab?

Danny,

I've got a couple of daughters myself, 22 and 17. So I know a little about it myself. There are very few people in this world I would kill or die for, but those two definatly fit into that category.  I just got back from the doc, was told bronchial pneumonia and stay home for a week and rest. So if your looking for lyric only type help on a collab, I got plenty of time right now.

Well then friend, you got yourself a job.  Hate that you're not feeling up to par, and that you have to be out for a week, but can't wait to see all the good stuff that comes out of a week off for YOU.  You may not have to go back. :D

The first one's a little different.  My buddy Chuck (the one that I am berating currently for not helping me with Brothers In The Wind) and his boys got together the weekend that he had incident #2 with one of his sons (I told you about this. Turns out it was a really bad attempt to use a fake ID - been there) and they put down a little something and gave it to me to see what I could come up with lyrically.  I've been tossing it around and have a little something that needs polish.  As always, we'll share the writing credit, but it needs help on the verses, chorus and doesn't have a bridge at all.  Aw, heck you just write it and I'll sing it.

I will put together a little audio and send it over to you.  The other one is a little too heavy right now, and I'm working on finding the angle that lightens it up a bit.  I'll send along a little info on that one too.  I'll try to get that done tomorrow so you got something to work on.  'Til then, grab a pad, or crossword, some chicken noodle soup, your fluffy slippers, a good blanket, and feel better bro.
