As I read this I get a punk kind of vibe to it. "Cancel! Shut'em the **** up" does work, but it's vocally a bit too angular to me... "Hey you.... shut the **** up." "They should shut the **** up. |

Well... It's too bad "Spring Cleaning" got canceled lol, you should understand that I'm really just thinking out loud here. I believe that unless you're free and brave enough to push and examine the limits, then you never really know what the truth is... |

I think the message is a good one, but it comes as vulgar. If this were a rap song then it could work. It just seems to me that if someone is looking to change things for the better, IMO, it should have an optimistic feel. I am getting rage instead. How can we ask others to act morally or decently if we wish to punish them in the same manner? |

This is a classic illustration of what "Divide and conquer" style fearmongering looks like. They both seem familiar because ALL OF THIS RHETORIC ORIGINATES FROM THE SAME SOURCE! This message seems all one sided. It is suggesting, to me, that those wishing for liberal acceptance are hypocrits in that they are immoral in their treatment of those who do not follow. It might be more interesting to see lyrics with different verses taking different sides, but a chorus that could apply to both? |
