Hi all,
I just wrote a song about my favorite Scot, Stella Tennant since I have been moved by her life.
https://youtu.be/OyKcrcg567Q
Stella, you’re so far away
With all the stars in the night sky
Will you come back one day?
Stella, you ran outside to play
Did you wander to the moon and get lost on the way?
Oh Stella dear
Your light shines bright on strawberry hair
Twinkling like stars on your face so fair
A countenance of patrician air
With an edge of a rebel, consummate flair
Your walk down the runway left us amazed
Your sense of self left many to gaze
How can she carry such style with ease
Versatile muse to designers you please
Stella, you’re so far away
With all the stars in the night sky
Will you come back one day?
The art of joy and fancy you made
Hands of gold carrying grace
Butterflies captured, beetles alive
Gilded with Midas’ touch our eyes
Your children look up to the sky above
Knowing Mama showers them with love
Radiant, shining everlasting peace
You reign from the sky with your beauty’s release
Stella, you’re so far away
With all the stars in the night sky
Will you come back one day?
Stella, you ran outside to play
Did you wander to the moon and get lost on the way?
Oh Stella dear

A beautiful song Paulina. A great tribute to a lady who was obviously an inspiration to you. I must confess that I didn't know her story until I heard your song. It moved me to do a bit of research. So sad that she took her own life after achieving so much. This is lovely.

Thank you, Chris. It's funny how certain people can touch you even though they are worlds away...Last edited on Thu Jan 14th, 2021 02:55 pm by highvibrational

Paulina, after listening to your song, I went and listened to “Sleep Walk” by Santo and Johnny, which is the song that plays at the end of “La Bamba” as a tribute to Ritchie Valens, because that’s what yours reminded me of. They’re both such moving pieces of art. I didn’t know who Stella Tennant was, but I feel like I do now after listening to this. Thanks for sharing 🙂 Last edited on Wed Jan 13th, 2021 11:04 pm by BeatlesFan64

Hi BeatlesFan64, the Sleepwalk song is beautiful and that my song would remind you of it is an honor. Many thanks for your comments. It's all from the heart.
